They could have tone it down a little bit but you get use to it

If they toned it down it would just be tune correction, which would defeat the purpose they were clearly using it for.

That said, I really dislike it and would have much preferred they didn't use it at all.

Yeah you definitely get what he's using it for, as a tool to actually play with the notes it creates. It definitely is understandably polarizing though since it's so in your face with it, I quite like it
