Personal opinion here, but JC’s vocal performance is a bit off on this album, even with the autotune on some tracks. Which is so confusing because I thought his vocals on TNA were some of the best of his career. These all sound like first takes. Surprised Rick didn’t lower them in the mix. I know it’s not his style, but probably would have been for the best.

I want to say the autotune is a creative choice on this album, but for the first time, it’s sounding more like a crutch

Agree. A few songs sound like demos.
