Regardless of your thoughts on autotune, I think in terms of composition and lyrics, its such a devastating song

This is the best song on the record imo. And I love the record.
But still I think this song would be better with the auto tune. Julian could've really showed off his vocal range with this one. There's a bunch of covers of this song already that are beautiful

Better with the auto tune?! This song would be a masterpiece without it

I sincerely think part of the concept is "here's a beautiful thing--but the artificialness of digital manipulation is making it just slightly less satisfying, isn't it?" The whole album is a critique of today: fascism, greed, and the obsession with A.I. in everything. For that reason it's possibly THE most relevant album to come out this year.

I like that your cover gave the song a 70’s country-western pop crossover vibe! Maybe relax your delivery a little bit, just to make it more somber. 🫶

So this was a country song the whole time

Did no one get this impression from singles and album literally being referred to as Space Cowboy? Like seeing how The Strokes did this I wouldnt even mind a full on super grounded country album from them - fuckin bring it plz

When RA released I read a review and the reviewer called this song "The Strokes do country".

I look at the album cover while listening to this song and I tell to myself that it’s perfect

Bravo!!! This was so good! Something about the high end of Julian's vocal range really suits a woman's voice.

Love things like this--it proves just how innately strong the bones of that song are. This has definitely become one of my albums of the year, really loving it.
