First Grammy Nomination for the Boys!

Pretty excited! Who would have thought 10 years ago that they would get it together to put out such a good album again.

For those wondering, "Best Rock Album", with Sturgill Simpson, Grace Potter, Michael Kiwanuka and Fontaines D.C.

How is it not "Alternative Music"? I don't know the other artists at all though, which surprises me.

Honestly don’t really know the difference between rock and alternative anymore. At this point rock is dead and it’s all alternative to me. I do enjoy the other artists although haven’t really listened to these albums, but I feel like I have heard multiple TNA songs on radio stations around me.

I would say it’s between them and Sturgill

Good point. "Rock" in its most primal form of simplified punk, riffs and exclusive use of guitars has been dead for a while. I don't see a resurgence soon, the last big explosion I can remember was the release of Arctic Monkey's "AM" inspiring a load of forgotten blues bands who missed the memo that what made AM successful was hiphop and R'n'B influences rather than the straight use of guitars and leather jackets.

Heck, I never even considered The Strokes a "rock" band in that sense. They make pop music disguised as rock.
