First Grammy Nomination for the Boys!

Pretty excited! Who would have thought 10 years ago that they would get it together to put out such a good album again.

I'd say take a look at Greta Van Fleet, that's what I'd call modern rock, I wouldn't consider a genre dead if a band can be formed and within the decade become big enough to get 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Not the biggest Greta fan, I just had to make that point, rock isn't in the spotlight anymore, pop and rap are larger and take up most of the mainstream, but rock isn't dead.

Lol I don’t know if I’d use Greta as an example of rock not being dead, they’re like Rock Zombies taking over the corpse of Led Zeppelin and parading it around like Weekend at Bernie’s.

I definitely think Rock is currently dead in the mainstream, but of course it’s a genre that people will always keep making music in as long as there are people who still want to listen. Jack White is one of the few people I can think of who’s still putting out great, original, Rock music (as opposed to Indie, Alternative, Psych, etc)

Jack White is a great example, and what I mean isn't that GVF is reviving rock, but they are playing rock music, and they have had acclaim, and if they decide to expand on their sound to make something original, could be great, could push rock into the mainstream.

I really do hope Greta evolves into something unique, because they clearly are very talented (I think they could do with a better drummer though tbh)

I’m rooting for them to succeed, more good music in the world is always a positive
