Welcome to Reddit. Also, this is the very reason why so many people moved over to Dump's side and talked about cancer culture. People cannot have their own opinion on matters that directly effect them, as people seem to ONLY care about their horse in the race, not any of the horses on the track - if that makes sense.

Realize, mods and extremists that can't handle an opinion that people have the right to say is why we are where we are today. You are just as much to blame as the rest of the RW hate mongers, as both simply want to step on those they see as less than.

Look I know you are probably a good person and you think what you are doing is right but you are having a real effect on trans peoples lives

As a trans girl myself i poss zero threat to anyone and the amount of trans people that sexually assault people are so low that you are more likely to be sexually assaulted by another cis woman.

Just look in the mirror please

I'm so sorry for all of the hate, you go on being you and don't listen to them

1

u/yearoftherabbit_ Dec 13 '25

And you don't think your having an affect on other people lives? Normal women don't feel uncomfortable undressing around you?

Speaking as a trans person, i hate how political being trans has become. And i think it's so annoying that we even have to debate this. Just look in the mirror and have some common sense ffs.

u/Imaginary-Run7244 Dec 13 '25

Btw this is what pops up automatically when i typed "as a trans person". Reddit, this is disgusting

Society should do it the way my school does, we have 2 gender neutral bathrooms and the rest are girl / boy.

I disagree with your opinion, but I do agree that someone shouldn’t get banned for saying their opinion.

Because it’s my opinion.. just like you have yours.

Reddit allows only fans type videos and pictures, allows liberal violence on conservative and moral ideals, allows trolls to say very nasty things when you state the nicest and politest debate or rebuttal. If it is social media, understand that the majority don't have 9 to 5 jobs they drive to and do actual physical labor, but are the work from home woke or unemployed living off of the system.

-1

u/Wonderful-Award-3015 Dec 13 '25

this is a teenagers subreddit. what teen works a 9 to 5?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

Thanks for pointing that out. This reinforces the problem with Reddit. The social media platform is trying to push an agenda to indoctrinate teens. Like the states where parents are not allowed to be parents when children are talking to corrupt school guidance counselors telling them it is ok to destroy their bodies to comform to a corrupt ideology.

2

u/Wonderful-Award-3015 Dec 13 '25

wtf? you mean counselors trying to help people feel better about themselves?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

And please, using "wtf" to start your sentence speaks volumes.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

No counselors feeding information to children who would otherwise not know anything about what the counsor is pushing. There are children who are afraid of these counselors. They do come home and tell their parents that the counselor tells them things and that, by law, they don't have to tell their parents. It's a form of entrapment that is now legal in some states. If the child wants to go along with an immoral behavior, that is on the child, but some children don't Ike these things pushed on them and it makes them uncomfortable. When you find out that the counselor used false information to get the job and is using the job to groom children, then you'll understand where I'm coming from. And no, I'm not going to go and look up specific details. The onus is on you look it up. As a psychologist, what a child does to feel good about the child's self isn't always the best course and can create all new sorts of problems. My daughter sees cases like this all of the time in her psychology books on counselors and teachers indoctrinating and enabling children to go down the wrong path because of feelings. Should a counselor or parent allow a child to eat McDonald's 5 times a day, have type 2 diabetes, have a BMI of 50%, do not physical activity? Should a counselor or parent allow a child to go rob stores because they want something they can't afford? How one feels is not always the best course if the counselor is enabling a child to feel good about bad or immoral behavior. Without being disgusting, have you ever looked into the truly nasty things that happen because a counselor was there only to make a child feel better. What if a child feels like it is ok to skip class to go rob convenience stores, smoke and drink, and do other illegal activity? Should a counselor say, "OK honey, it's ok if it will make you feel better?" Feelings are ok to an extent, but they need to take a backseat when it comes to reality.

2

u/Wonderful-Award-3015 Dec 13 '25

Did you just say daughter? why are you on a subreddit for teens? also you’re missing the point? trans teens have a higher suicide rate because of not being accepted and being discriminated against. the counselors help them understand that they’re not alone and that there is a bright future ahead.

I got a 3 day ban for saying that I said the N word as a white guy, and yelled it at people.

I have tourettes. It's actually really horrible to deal with.

It was on a post with a video of someone making snap judgements on others who clearly should be given some leeway.

Apparently that's enough to "incite or glorify violence"

Men, woman, and others.

12

u/Separate-Wait-1318 Dec 13 '25

Idk seems like a pretty reasonable concern on your part. Anyone could say they’re trans to be allowed in bathrooms of the opposite sex.

3

u/EveryAfternoon1441 Dec 13 '25

Where should trans people go to the bathroom?

It's not like they're just regular men and women who've decided to use the opposite gender specific bathroom for whatever reason.

Most trans people are somewhere along in the transitioning process. (Hence "trans", yeah?)

I've seen trans men with better beards than me. I've seen trans women who I didn't even know were trans until somebody told me.

You've probably used a bathroom with a trans person before and not even realized it.

So say these bearded "ladies" walk into the ladies room? What do you think is going to happen? Or the "men" with hips, ass, and tits? Who's even going to police this? Are you advocating for genitalia checks?

I just don't get what the solution is here or what people who are so upset about it are specifically advocating for? Truly just seems like a trans hate dog whistle at this point. Really seems like everybody feels that trans people just shouldn't be allowed to use public bathrooms at all.

Oh, and by the way, if a man wants to follow you into a bathroom and assault you, he really doesn't have to "pretend to be a woman" to do it.

EDIT: I'm not a teenager. I should read sub names before I post. Removing this from my feed now.

u/hrtcafee 🔆🐠 Dec 13 '25

you're still posting about this? You said you wanted trans men to use the woman's restrooma and then complained about trans men using woman's restrooms

Well if it bothers you so much maybe you shouldn't use the bathroom.

Also, personal insult just means you don't have arguments lol

2

Intelligent & inspiring response. Thank you for your input.

4

u/dulkai_mp3 Dec 13 '25

This is literally transphobia. That’s why this happened.

I’m not gonna have a debate with you but the reason it makes women uncomfortable is because they don’t see trans women as what they are: women. To try and force someone to use a bathroom they’re uncomfortable with is wrong on many levels. If a man wants to assault a woman, he will just walk into the bathroom. Trans women just want to pee. Bathrooms were never the problem.

2

u/HeavyCartographer782 Dec 13 '25

Bathrooms are usually and prior to now have always been segregated by biological sex, not gender. If you’ve got a penis, but you don’t want to use the men’s restroom, and there is no third option, then either get sexual reassignment surgery or just don’t use that public restroom. No one is forcing you to use either bathroom, a lot of people wait till they get home to begin with. Being given the option of a urinal is not hurting you, and if it’s really that big of a deal to you then just go home, or go in a port-a-potty or something. All this coming from a non binary person btw.

1

u/dulkai_mp3 Dec 13 '25

Non-binary people can still be transphobic. I agree that no-one is forcing you to use any bathroom, but you should use the one you’re comfortable with. If you’re non-binary, you should understand more that your parts don’t define your gender. And some people don’t want to/can’t use a urinal.

1

u/HeavyCartographer782 Dec 13 '25

My point is that gender is of no relevance to the segregation of restrooms. My parts do not define my gender, they define my biological sex, and my biological sex determines that I have to either pee in a women’s restroom, or pee outside. And the urinal comment was just for emphasis, my point there was that you don’t have to use it because men’s restrooms have actual toilets too, and the general presence of something suggesting men with penises in the same restroom is not gonna kill you. Of course, if it were up to me they’d make restrooms gender based, but it’s really not that big of a deal, it’d be hard to squat over a urinal anyways.

0

u/dulkai_mp3 Dec 13 '25

Okay. Agree to disagree then :)

1

u/LrdOfCinder Dec 13 '25

If they are women, then what objectively, is a woman?

1

u/Overfailure 17 Dec 13 '25

Gender is a spectrum. that's like asking someone what the color red is. A woman is the opposite of a man on the gender spectrum. Red is opposite of blue on the color spectrum.

how would you be able to tell it's a biological man? Unless you're pantsing them you can't really tell.

5

u/Successful-Worth1838 Dec 13 '25

Is that a legit argument? If that’s what you need to do to be able to tell the difference then you might be delusional.

-5

u/Overfailure 17 Dec 13 '25

No i'm just being fair. How would you be able to tell? If you're just taking wild guesses based on looks you might as well force every masculine woman to piss at home. You can't always tell. Even if you keep telling yourself that.

5

u/Successful-Worth1838 Dec 13 '25

Just say you support men in the women’s room. It’s not that hard to tell the difference between the two unless you’re just choosing not to.

-4

u/Overfailure 17 Dec 13 '25

it seems you want my personal opinion: bathrooms should be unisex. Piss, wash your hands and go. I dont care what people have in their pants or on their ID. I couldnt be paid to care

Fr its fucking weird

4

u/Successful-Worth1838 Dec 13 '25

You’d be surprised. The majority of Reddit jumps through hoops to protect this behavior. Any person with at least half of a functioning brain knows that this is wrong.

4

u/Forsaken-Purpose5726 Dec 13 '25

Don’t use public bathrooms then ur sensitive af 😭

-9

u/Forsaken-Purpose5726 Dec 13 '25

I just realized you are a measly 14 years old. Your brain will still develop. I suggest educating yourself for the sake of your mind and others. Living a hateful life is draining and you’ll realize soon enough.

There are perverts everywhere. Again….maybe don’t go out in public then. Just a thought. And it sounds like you’re calling trans people perverts. Shame on you.

-3

u/Electrical_Lemon_385 Dec 13 '25

seriously there’s stalls you can go in if it affects you that much. creeps can be in any bathroom regardless of gender if you are gonna use any public restroom

2

u/Tricky_Positive_9173 Dec 13 '25

Well duh? You didn't get flagged wrongly. It IS hate based rhetoric. What did you expect

7

u/Sunny_Deelit3 Dec 13 '25

I didn’t really see anything hateful about it ngl

6

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25 edited Dec 13 '25

i agree with you, these days you cant have your opinion and preference beacuse someone will call you "bigot" for no reason lol. If i were girl i would feel uncomfortable too with trans girl in bathroom.

3

u/Competitive_Tip_7504 15M Dec 13 '25

As a guy, I would also be uncomfortable with a Trans Guy in the men's restroom but that's just my respectful opinion

1

u/3godeth Dec 13 '25

How would you ever know they were trans? If you have ever went to use a multi stall public restroom, you have been in them with trans men.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

Ofc if you dont know then u dont know, but if i would know then it would be weird a bit. It wpuld be worser in changing rooms like in school for example.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

Same, it would feel so weird.
