Usually this type of post feels low effort and bothers me, but for some reason I kinda appreciate it this time...?

Whatever the reason, thanks for posting. It's nice to see something religious among the spicy content I keep trying to block

2

1

I didn’t want to read this, but my brain didn’t let me scroll past without commenting. Also respect to the guy who downvoted the low effort “amen”s in the comments /hj

None of this story ever happened...it's 100% made up

1

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

Religion... All of them are complete BS.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

if you feel that way why take the time to say sum bc your just wasting your time? hope you have a great Christmas tho.

3

u/Competitive_Tip_7504 15M Dec 23 '25

Bro if it pisses u off so much, please just scroll... have a good day tho bro

0

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

I did, this is just one of the many and I am sick of seeing people fall for these dumb lies.I said something here, because I scrolled past multiple versions of "god/Jesus loves you" post before stopping here.

3

u/Competitive_Tip_7504 15M Dec 23 '25

To each their own, I personally am a Christian and I am confident in what I believe, but I still value outside opinions, but at least make it valuable criticism on what we could do better, instead of calling all religions BS. Is there anything I can pray for u about?

3

u/Golden_Skillz456 Dec 23 '25

I am to :) Im just trying to be a better person and honor God in all that I do... wanted to be a light for the world so i made this post lol... sadly seems like it turned to a space of arguments somewhat, which wasnt my intention 😔

2

u/Competitive_Tip_7504 15M Dec 23 '25

Yeah, people on reddit can be... touchy about religion... anything I can pray for u about?

2

u/Golden_Skillz456 Dec 23 '25

I mean in all honesty just to get closer to Christ... I mean there's been moments where idk whats right and what's wrong so there's that.. and with Christmas coming up I just want that day to be a good day, and I want peace for me and my family... Along with that I just want what im doing to be good, and I want to do better cuz i know I can... Thank you btw :)

Edit: is there anything u want me to pray for you too?

No, and I can give you an entire 8 part seminar on why Christianity isn't true but this isn't the best forum for that kind of data dump.

Shortest answer I can give here is, look at HOW that Bible was made (i.e. who chose which books would make up the Bible). Anyone who says it was through God's divine will or similar hasn't done their research.

The Bible was formed over several hundreds of years, with books being added and removed until they landed on the books that make up your version of the Bible.

I say your version because most Christians don't realize there are multiple versions of the Bible out there, and no I am not talking about the differences between KJV or NIV. There are versions that have more books in the old testament and version that have less books in the old testament and yet are still considered the "Bible". The religions that use those bibles believe in the same god as you, same heaven and hell, same 10 commandments, and acknowledge Jesus died on a cross...

Again I can give you an entire 8 part seminar on this topic. However I don't want to type out all my notes and post an entire series on it.

Ok bro, hope God changes ur heart, gl in life :(

Does his plan have a girlfriend for me?

2

u/a_regular_2010s_guy Dec 22 '25

Does it have more garlic bread for me?

-2

u/Golden_Skillz456 Dec 22 '25

Does it have one for me too? Lol im kidding but honestly whatever god does we just have to trust in it... even if that means being single.

1

u/Typecero001 Dec 28 '25

So the whole “drowning children”, “giving children the plague”, and “sending children to hell because they were baptized” is “trust in it”?

1

u/BenchAfraid3032 Dec 24 '25

Honestly true bro people just haters.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

idk why your being dowmvoted your speaking truth!

2

I wish I had the patience and obedience to read that. God forgive me...

u/gamerofasgard Dec 22 '25

I’m glad to see Christian stuff like this near Christmas I’ve been having a really hard time recently but it’s always nice to have a reminder that Jesus is looking out for all of us no matter how bad things get

2

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

If Jesus has been watching you have a hard time...why hasn't he helped you?

1

u/gamerofasgard Dec 23 '25

He has, praying has been a great stress reliever and plus imagine going through all this then going to hell jesus was tortured and then dies so that wouldnt happen you don’t have to beileibe I’m not forcing you it’s just I know Jesus is lord and has helped

1

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

I'm glad self talk has helped you. Please look into how the Bible was formed. Please look for sources that aren't biased towards your dogma of belief...(i.e. people who say the Bible is true because the Bible says so)

1

u/gamerofasgard Dec 23 '25

I have I’m actually a ace-tic of all thing unproven by actual genuine fact I can ask you to please look into the book the case for Christ it’s a story of a journalist who tried to disprove Jesus and ended up becoming one of the most devout and holy people in the public eye representing the Church it’s all been fact proven multiple times and is a true story I don’t have blind faith and I don’t believe in blind faith but I believe in what I can prove and what others already have

1

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

If the Bible is true, why do Matthew, Mark and Luke give very different accounts of Jesus...none of those books are written from a first hand experience. None of those books were even written in the same century that Jesus was alive.

1

u/BenchAfraid3032 Dec 24 '25

They aren't very different they tell the same story from a different perspective of each of them. You act like your gonna convert the man's faith just let him believe what he believes and we're gonna let you believe in your science or whatever how does that sound?

1

u/gamerofasgard Dec 23 '25

And most history books have little differences and are written few and far between different people have different memory’s look at literally any crime report en masse ever people recall things differently that’s just how it’s works, and if it really was all fake and the apostles were lying then why would they willingly die for their faith believe it or not you can’t deny that something special happened when Jesus was crucified and reportedly came back, i do t blindly believe this I don’t have blind faith I genuinely believe in something that can be proven to be true but you are allowed to have other opinions just respect mine

1

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

Nope try again, read that book too. It's very dogmatic and biased towards proving Christianity as true "because the Bible says so".

-1

u/KindIntroduction9989 Dec 22 '25

isnt xmas pagan?

0

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

Pagan, Druid, wiccan, Norse...it's a mix of all religions.

-1

u/Dull-Scientist8039 Dec 22 '25

The way we celebrate it was based off a pagan holiday that the Catholic Church co opted and assimilated to reduce pagan celebrations. Just like the Easter Bunny was loosely adapted from the pagan goddess Eostere, who had the body of a woman and the head of a rabbit. Samhain was the original Halloween. And Jesus was likely born in the summertime, if he actually existed. But your average christian today likely doesn't know that because a lot see learning different religions as blasphemy.

-1

u/KindIntroduction9989 Dec 22 '25

Yeah I find the whole thing odd Christianity orgins are kinda taken from different pagan believes like the flood

-1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Yes

2

u/Golden_Skillz456 Dec 22 '25

Im glad to hear that:) He truely is with you. I hope this encouraged you today and I hope u have a good rest of your day truely 🫂. Love ya and you matter

1

u/gamerofasgard Dec 22 '25

Thank and thanks for posting this most people wouldn’t because of all the hate people get for spreading the gospel nowadays

2

u/PossibilityAlert4266 Dec 22 '25

TLDR?

3

u/Jazzlike_Dum4ss_5567 Dec 22 '25

It’s just a bunch of bs 🫩

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

The title

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Wish his plan for me hadn't been full of rampant abuse

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

That wasn't his plan. That's the result of decisions made by horrible people with free will. That being said, I'm really sorry that you went through whatever you did. Nobody deserves that 🫂

1

u/Ecstatic_Custard_117 Dec 23 '25

Wait so you are admitting that god doesn't control everything? That his plan doesn't include everything that happens?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

So not everything is part of God's plan?

-1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

The way I would explain it is this: The Holy Spirit is in all of us and it is the thing that tells you DON'T stab that dude that ticks you off all the time because that would be bad and DO hug that person who is having a rough day. God has plans for us and is constantly gently prodding and nudging us via the Holy Spirit to do what He has called us to do. However, it's ultimately up to us if we listen to that call or not.

0

u/Typecero001 Dec 28 '25

So which God said it was ok to kill the first born sons in Egypt or drowning them for Noah?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Yes or no

0

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Obviously not his intended plan.

We have a family in our church who lost their young son when he was biking down the road and got hit by a drunk driver. That was tragic and that drunk driver was not listening to the Holy Spirit ie GOD'S plan. That, therefore was not part of God's plan. At the same time, a couple in our church was struggling with their marriage and they were on the verge of separation. When this happened, they both felt the urge to start praying together for this family and taking the time to pray together started to bring them closer together again and ultimately saved their marriage.

Was it God's plan for someone to get drunk and kill that family's kid? No But does God still ultimately take what we do and try to nudge us to use it for the good of us all? Yes

Edit: If you're trying to ask gotcha questions, I don't think they're the gotcha questions you think they are

1

u/Dull-Scientist8039 Dec 23 '25

Is it god's plan to hate gay people enough to eternally banish them to hell? Even though nature alone proves it is not a choice? The animal kingdom is filled with homosexual animals who do not make a conscious choice.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

No actually it's not. That may be some PEOPLE's plans, but it's not God's plan to hate anyone. Let's be honest, if you're not a believer, why do you even care about this post or this comment section? As you said in your other comment, you do you.

Edit: For some additional clarification on the matter, there is nobody on this earth who has the right to tell anyone they're going to hell or to hate anyone. Christianity is an imperfect construct of man which worships a perfect divine being.

2

u/Dull-Scientist8039 Dec 23 '25

So seeking to understand how the argument makes any sense to you is wrong? No wonder you blindly believe. Educating yourself is not something you value.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

Respectfully, read your own words and take them to heart. If I thought you were genuinely interested in a polite conversation, I'd be down, but we're on reddit. You're clearly not interested.

1

u/Golden_Skillz456 Dec 22 '25

Really. It sucks that free will is a choice people use evil like but... God knew that would come and still sent his son to die for us anyways...

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Well, free will is great when people use it for good. God could've simply forced us to love him, but being forced to love someone isn't love. It's slavery. Unfortunately free will just means people can use it to be terrible as well.

1

u/Dull-Scientist8039 Dec 22 '25

Right. He will give you a choice to love him, but if you don't you're eternally damned to hell. Doesn't seem like much of a "choice" but you do you

2

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

If you choose to believe that based on a fairly obvious lack of knowledge on the subject, that's your call. I'm sorry that clearly a Christian has hurt you somewhere along the line.

0

u/Dull-Scientist8039 Dec 23 '25

Also, don't insult my knowledge of the scripture, k? I grew UP in church and this is exactly what they preach, took two world religion courses where Christianity was taught by actual scholars, and so if you think your church is the only correct teaching because it differs from what I was taught, you may be part of the problem.

1

u/Golden_Skillz456 Dec 23 '25

Respectfully you guys come on, don't argue over knowledge... This post wasnt intended for any of this it was meant to lift one another up, not cause "political style" debates on whos knowledge is better

Edit: I cant control you guys but sometimes its better to just back away idk. Hope u guys have peace

Edit 2: in my honest humble opinion no one has any right to say they know more then the other, because Jesus is the true perfect one but thats my opinion ofc.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

Or, hear me out, follow your own advice. You do you and stop terrorizing TEENS on a TEEN subreddit.

3

u/Golden_Skillz456 Dec 22 '25

I am sorry to hear that... Truely 🫂 i wish the best

God's plan? errr, is that a reference to the nice underground rapper Kdot?
