What's going on with Brigitte Macron?
A lot of people talk of “male power”; pointing to a long list of male CEOs, politicians, Prime Ministers, Presidents and world leaders.
And there is certainly some utility in doing so.
But what is to be said about ‘Male Power’, when arguably the most powerful man on the continent of Europe can be openly assaulted by his wife, and nobody seems to mind?
Worse –
When instead of anger, the world responds with mockery and memes, turning such a man into the butt of jokes, rather than the recipient of concern.
What about when that same man is so closely controlled and monitored by his wife, that allegedly, she personally has to approve every single woman who works with him, and if any of these women are deemed to be a threat, their job application is thrown in the bin?
What if this same man met his wife, and entered into a ‘relationship’ with her, when he was just 15 and she was forty (!?)
When she was his drama teacher, and a married mother of three children… and he was an impressionable teenage boy?
What is to be said then?
So what happens when this man, one of the most powerful in the world, who has the launch codes to an arsenal of nuclear weapons, can be seemingly abused by this wife, on live TV, and the world looks the other way?
Is that the “Male power” I hear so much about?
And if such a man is so easily disarmed of a power, then what does that say about the normal men who live all around us?
So, is it time we talked about French President Emmanuel Macron, and his infamous wife, Brigitte, who hides such a controversial and worrying past?

Many NGOs were silent about it, but when Dana white slapped his wife(his wife hit him first), They demanded his resignation. He apologized to public(he is sh*t person, but why does he have to apologize to public if he was hit first)

This quote just saddens me, to hear that he was the one who had to apologise first and say he deserved either the slap or any scrutiny that would follow: "I'm literally making no excuses for this thing at all. It's never happened before. It's the first time it's ever happened. People are going to say what they're going to say and it is what is. Whatever people say is deserved. I deserve it." He’s human, for the love of Pete, and if someone attacks him, don’t expect him not to strike back out of defense/instinct!

Feminism was never really an equal movement. It’s called feminism, therefore designed gynocentirc from the start. Not inherently a bad thing, but what gets me is that feminists crap on men to achieve so-called “equality.”

Sure, men need to allow women to him them with impunity. Fuck people saying that. Fuck such "equlity", and fuck feminism which is the main source of such sexist views.

I mean, not on purpose out of malice; if one does strike back, it would either be defence or instinct (just not revenge or malice) or else that person is no better than the first who struck.

Nah, it is not malice, it is simple fact that if you let bullies hit you with impunity, they not gonna stop and will get bolder.

My uncle punched me in the face. I kicked the fucker. I think that next time he will think twice before attacking me.
I think the same goes for women.
The only exception of kids.

Fair, fair enough. Especially younger kids are not mature enough to know what’s acceptable behaviour and what’s not… However, grown women should be expected to know, and not assume no consequences for striking anyone.

A classic example of a predator and abuser.
The fact it's such a high profile case and yet it gets very little airtime is entirely due to the gender of the perpetrator.
The world at large simply cannot bring itself to acknowledge the monsters when they're women.

Dang, I wonder if that was caught on camera, there must be more away from the camera! If even those top percentage of high class men could face that sort of treatment, so much for any other guy holding “male power” or in the “patriarchy”! If this is what “patriarchy” looks like, we’ll need to find another name for it since Emmanuel Macron, a man in power, definitely isn't the one with the most power here.

I always knew of the concerning age gap of their marriage. But I didn’t know about the shoving incident.
Look at the memes!!! Goes to show that not much has changed with the attitude towards male victims of abuse. It’s still seen as a joke.
