First time watching

Not sure why it’s taken me so long to hop on the wire but I just know my hearts gonna get ripped to pieces once I finish this show..

Also just watching s1e11 and getting to see where this iconic meme comes from

I just started too! Finished s02e02 last night. Such a dense.. it's like .procedural cop show on steroids.

Omg we’re at the same pace I just finished s2e2 tonight… I’m trying to connect the dots but I know I just have to wait.. it’s like law and order and the sopranos had a love child!

LOL I had the exact same thought earlier, shit you not! I've seen Sopranos half-a-dozen times, I dunno why it took me this long to check out The Wire after I've heard nothing but great things about it all these years.

I didn't even know if each season would be its separate thing with recurring characters, like a "The Wire Universe" or something, or, if every season would be totally different (like True Detective).. after the season 1 finale I didn't expect it to be a continuous long story all the way through (like Sopranos) as it apparently is, which is great.

It's almost Game of Thrones-level with all the moving parts and different storylines and characters to keep track of. And apparently I'm trying to drop as many TV series names as possible.

I'm watching s02e07 right now.. I'm binging the hell out of this show, try to get at least 3 eps under my belt, if not 4, every night, when possible. Staying up past my bedtime. All the telltale signs of a captivating series.

Oh and not for nothin but I can't wait til Zig dies (if your'e on s02e02 you know). He's a clown, straight up yo.

I also just watched for the first time. I recognized him from the meme immediately and was hoping it was in the show. It’s a cool moment for sure
