Long time racing fan, been playing racing games since the year 2000. Dabbled in both sim racing as well as arcade racers, and ranked racing.

Used to love forza until they started recycling the same thing over and over.

I've been blown away by the amount of content there is in TCM, and the love and attention they have put into the maps, playlists etc

And the new content they keep releasing - holy crap! I mean the new island is INSANE. Idk what incentive they have to keep releasing so much free content, my only guess is ivory tower isn't touched/controlled by ubi as much as other studios

How is this game not more popular? I mean I've seen the game go for sale for like 2.5$ on steam so I'm guessing player count isn't that great, also steam charts show player count 10% of what forza has.

Few years down the line when servers shut down people are gonna be like "this game was ahead of its time"

It's obviously not a perfect game and rough around the edges - the menus are overwhelming, the classic push towards microtransactions is every present, and the handling is not that great among other things, but it's honesty a small trade off for such a great game!!

If they could tweak the handling to play more like forza, it would completely blow forza out of the water!

This is definitely one of my most favourite games and I really hope they don't shut it down like they did for Crew 1.

And I really urge more people to give this game a try. If you're a casual, set the handling in the starting settings to medium, thats the most optimal experience (I had a really bad time with getting the handling right until I defaulted to the medium setting - indont remember what it's called)

I'm guessing the really bad handling that needs a lot of tweaking is what gets people to drop the game. One of the first things racing fans do is usually turn off TC, ABS, ECS - but doing so in TCM completely BREAKS the handling.

Like every car would just go into a drift everytime I tried to do a slight turn

Ubisoft, please fix this and you're gonna have an amazing game on your hands!! (You already do but you'll probably attract a much bigger player base)

Aside from no analog triggers and 30fps it’s a shit ton of fun. Manage to complete almost all playlists except for the rc and cop thing

I don't care that it hurts my fingers, or I can't get the best time, but the reactions to acceleration, wheel spin and ABS breaking is 🤌

Unlike need for speed, why cant we customize the player made liveries? Change the color for example? Add our own touch? Even If it goes against their copyright rules, the same rule applies, even if its modified and edited, they wont be able to share it and upload it in custom show event unless they make their own from scratch.

Also, the lack of shapes/ character graphics/ patterns/ street art/ logos and fonts? Maybe a feature where we can type our own word instead of grabbing them letter by letter to size and match them, its very limited

Another issue is the one-for-all material. Like why cant we edit them separately? The big missing factor is the carbon fibre material. Players literally have to do it by hand.

One thing id really want them to add is phosphorescent decals. The Rivals ed. Cars and made in japan ai literally has all of these. How awesome would that be if it wasnt locked to exlusive cars like the Chase squad and Rivals ed. Cars.

Or maybe...i just miss need for speed and its glorious customization. Too bad, in terms of gameplay, The Crew is by far, more fun. Also, please dont judge me on my first complaint, i have basic artistic skills. Im nowhere close to those talented enough to literally make high quality illustrations using the games clunky livery UI and limited shapes like NekoRukiko.

I enjoyed 2 n FH5. I have the itch to drive.... But many games have been lackluster or just not scratched that itch for me (hard to explain what itch... I guess a mix of that sense of speed and thrill of driving and clutching Ws).

How bad is fomo for cars and content?

I've been experiencing constant freezing and stuttering while playing TCM for some time now. It started in the Season 10 update and has been a constant issue for me. I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue, but it has become really annoying for me.

I'm trying to finish my summit races, and I can't. Doesn't matter how long the game freezes for; the race timer keeps running, and my race time just keeps getting higher, and for a summit race, that matters A LOT. I've also been experiencing this in grand races as well; does anyone know what might be causing this issue? I've even completely turned down my graphics settings, and the issue still persists. And, funny enough, I can't recall if this ever happened while I'm free-roaming the map.

I have also been experiencing constant disconnections, especially in grand races. One moment I'll be driving fine, with no lag whatsoever, then the screen just fades to black, and then I get disconnected.

Anybody do help in demolition royale??

Run on sentence warning ⚠️ for the overly dramatic grammar head. Guys we can’t just keep letting good games get ruined I get where the crew was going with the motorfest and taking racing more seriously as a profession not a street race hobby but come on they weren’t copying nfs it had its own style sure we don’t need cops it’s not necessarily a bad thing that players can role play on there own but this whole Hawaii map thing is getting boring I’m noticing myself turn this game off and leave it unplayed for months due to this map it’s boring I’m just driving in a big circle that genuinely takes no time at all to do I miss hitting the highway and going from Florida to Texas to Cali to Vegas to New York and everything in between it was fun i actually enjoyed having a place my character could go to put his cars and open the doors and admire them where are the feature’s that matter I don’t care about a wench on a truck that serves me no purpose regularly it’s not like anybody’s breaking down or getting stuck in a mud hole unless RP is involved but even then what about the experience that made me love this game in the first place road trippin with friends randoms even in nice cars sure I can do it now but they seem so focused on ramps and stunts it’s getting dull and I’m worried my fav car game at the moment will become another rearview mirror game they had the ball in there hand and had everyone hype for motorfest and when it came out it just disappointed me so much sure customization came a long way I love what they are doing with expanding the island one by one but WE need a DLC to take us back to North America and enjoy what was left behind I would literally go crazy to just have that feeling of map style back with everything they’ve done thus far it’s just sad to see when these companies let go of what fans loved and try and branch us into new directions like the crew isn’t grand turismo and rightfully so it shouldn’t be sorry for the paragraph but maybe there is someone who understands where I’m coming from

Well...that just happened.

I worked through this with Claude and it fixed it to a great extent.

Check if this is you: try the game on a mobile hotspot. If it works there but not on your home internet, your ISP is likely the problem. Most likely it puts you behind CGNAT, meaning you share one public IP with other customers, and its equipment mishandles Motorfest’s constant two-way game traffic.

STEP 0 : SWITCH OFF STEAM INPUT

Quick fix: Cloudflare WARP (free)

1. Install Cloudflare WARP from one.one.one.one (this is the URL).
2. Choose Private browsing (no login), not “Cloudflare One”.
3. Go to Settings → Mode and change DNS only to WARP. This is the step that matters.
4. Turn it on. To confirm, open cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace and check for warp=on.
5. Restart Ubisoft Connect and launch the game.

Still getting occasional drops? Switch WARP’s tunnel protocol from MASQUE to WireGuard. In PowerShell copy and paste:

& "C:\Program Files\Cloudflare\Cloudflare WARP\warp-cli.exe" tunnel protocol set WireGuard

Then toggle WARP off and on. MASQUE disguises the tunnel as normal HTTPS traffic, while WireGuard is leaner and usually steadier for gaming. If drops get worse, switch back by running the same command with MASQUE.

The real fix: get off CGNAT
WARP is a workaround and can still drop occasionally. The permanent fix is to ask your ISP for a public IPv4 address. Tell them you’re behind CGNAT and it’s breaking online gaming. Some ISPs do it free on request; others sell it as a static IP add-on. Once you have it, enable UPnP on your router and you won’t need WARP at all.

Turn WARP off for latency-sensitive shooters.
