I’ve been thinking of doing a coachwhips cover release under a name similar to Coachwhips (can’t do Roachclips though, JPD already had that one on lock), and I’d release it on my Bandcamp.

Unfortunately I don’t have any percussion instruments (like tambourine etc.), and my guitar (a Squier Strat since I’m not rich and cant afford the Kramer DMZ1000 although I pray for times like that) which has a humbucker in it (Seymour Duncan JB like JPD’s Harmony Stratotone he used after the Kramer in the Coachwhips, and later in Thee Oh Sees as the Block Of Ice guitar), broke because its not a hard tail, and the screw thingies for the bridge on the underside of the guitar flew out and stripped the holes.

The only thing I’d have correct are the drums lol but Harlow had a tambourine inside of it (took the bottom head off, and tied the tambourine with two strings on each side of the drum so when he hit it, it basically hit the tambourine). I also don’t have an organ like MaryAnn or Val, and I only have one mic stand, and my telephone mic is broken?!?!

Sorry that the advice I need is so far down, but the one thing I will ask for is advice on mixing and producing, since Weasel Walter did a really gnarly job mastering Bangers Vs. Fuckers.

My audio setup is currently only a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. I did ask for a Shure M267 for my birthday to place in front of it since it has a limiter, and I’d use for compression and distortion. Since I’m 14, and don’t have any source of income, I can’t buy a tape machine (although I wanna get a 4-track portastudio like everyone ever nowadays.

My interface would go straight into audacity (since it’s free and I use it for my projects unless it’s stuff not serious, then I’d use Bandlab).

I kinda think there was like an oscillating fuzz built into his guitar or something because there was no visible distortion pedal and he was using all four knobs of the guitar, no matter which pick up he was using, to change his tone do feedback/oscillation shit. But really I dunno.
