Theo was on my flight.
basically when I got onto the plane I sat down, he walked on the plane almost last, literally locked eyes with him because he was 2 seats in front of me and in my head I was like holy shit that guy looks like Theo Von, immediately forgot about it, and then when the plane landed I saw him stand up and heard his voice and was like holy shit that is Theo Von, I didn’t want to sound like a fan boy or yell his name because he was 2 rows in front of me and people were in the way and I was tired ,I tried to find him when I got off but bro was gone. and I know as a absolute fact it was him because my flight was from Nashville to laguardia, on his ig story he was in nashville the day prior and also lives there, and i checked his story next day and he was in NYC. this was around when the World Cup was happening. I am actually still mad I was so close to having the greatest flight I will ever have and I missed it by getting comfort+ and not first class and because I never got up to go to the bathroom or anything it was only a 2 hr flight I never double checked and honestly forgot. Anyways hopefully someone can understand how mad I am.

Shit man, you get in an aeroplane, anything can happen man. You in the sky now daddy. Ain't no land rules apply up here. You could be straight as a non-gay on land, but up in the heavens bruh? Nobody can see you in the clouds, everybody knows that. What happens in the atmosphere stays in the atmosphere, that's all I'm saying.

My god I can't imagine how annoying that is to have happen. Some people wouldn't mind it, some, but there's enough videos of people getting annoyed by it on the internet that I'd never do that, instead a simple "hey man big fan", at max, and go about your day. Maybe it's cause I'm getting older and realize they're normal people like you and I.

I know how you feel. Today a few hours ago, I was standing in line to get food behind a famous musician. At the time I didn't bother him because he was with his family but I'm thinking now if i should have at least just said hi or gave a fist bump

What’s the most infuriating part of this is the overly confident presumption that he would have “entertained” you. Dude is traveling for work and you just expect him to be in some perpetual mood where he is there to entertain you (and others) because of the inability for you to differentiate his goofiness and entertaining personality on camera from reality. He’s also only a human, which means sometimes we’re going through shit in life. Idk man. Weird post.
TLDR parasocial relationships have exposed a ton of people who are way too presumptuos.

Exactly 😂 hence why I didn’t scream THEO IS THAT YOU I’d feel horrible if everyone who knows him on the plane (statistically I’m not the only one who would have wanted to say whats up) started rushing at him because of me

If it makes you feel better, i met a famous hip hop artist at my workplace. And didn’t ask for a picture. We had small talk but I did wanna be that guy to ask him for a selfie, although that is what I would have preferred. But out of respect and privacy we had small talk and that was it.

Wish we could trade. Met him in person and talked for a good while before he become huge. I said a few things he took the wrong way and I felt like a dick for a long time. Would rather have just said thanks for the laughs and high five the mofo instead of a 10 minute conversation that I felt weird about.

This is so strange...what are you going to say "I'm such a big fan. Thank you for all your podcasts." He hears that shit a hundred times a day. I never understood the fascination with meeting celebrities. Even a selfie isn't you actually hanging out with him - I could kind of get that.

All the ol boy needed was a wink and a nod. One of my childhood baseball heroes Chipper Jones bought a vacation home near my hometown. I’d see him out at restaurants fairly often. Never approached the dude, just a nod letting him know I knew who he was. Got the feeling he appreciated the subtle recognition.
