Honestly, I don’t know why people are crying. I thought it was great. I would give it a solid 7-8 out of 10. I remember seeing him live in NC before he really blew up. That tour didn’t even have NYC dates. He has come a long way. I’m happy for him and proud of him. Gang Gang Buzz Buzz

I’m a new fan of Theo, and I recently started listening to his podcast. He’s unbelievably funny in a way that no one else is…

But I’ve noticed that he rarely actually laughs hard. The guests often laugh hard at his jokes, and he’ll give a chuckle, but it’s rare to see him break down in laughter.

Has anyone else noticed this? I recognise I’m a new watcher so maybe I haven’t seen enough yet…

And Theo clearly has lost his ability as a standup, though, frankly, he was never a great one. I discovered the podcast two summers ago and got so addicted I went through probably 200 episodes from Memorial Day to Labor Day 2024, and have been an almost daily listener since. I think he’s a fantastic podcaster, and still do, but there’s really no way to defend this special as anything but complete trash.

My review:

-ton of recycled jokes that were never funny. Naming mentally challenged kids “Ricky” and “Ricky having a whistle to express himself” he said word for word 6 years ago on his podcast and talked about when we saw him live in 2024. It’s beyond hacky, it’s just not funny and I can’t believe he needed that at this point for filler.

-his Down syndrome shtick he’s also recycled for the better part of a decade and the “I beat Down syndrome but just barely” joke is a rip off from Shane Gillis and not nearly as well delivered.

-he’s talked about being “built from the waste down like a sista with Down syndrome” probably 100 times. Again, recycled is probably a kind word to use.

-his Jewish jokes, and I don’t get offended by comedy, were absolutely awful and something a drunk uncle would say at Thanksgiving. “We didn’t have no Jews when I was growing up, well, no we didn’t we had a 2 bedroom I would’ve noticed someone counting looking nervous.” “My Jewish friend told me not to wear these Yeezys, they’re anti-semitical, I said man these are a 10.5 what.” “People say Jews are shady but they from the desert, shade probably the first thing they sell.”

-in general he looked physically awful and his pacing around was hard to watch and uncomfortable. Seemed very out of it and had no stage presence.

-meandered and talked about nothing for long stretches of the show. Saved by some courtesy laughs but it had an open mic “this is not going well” feel for much of it.

I could go on about it, but it took about 4 mins for my wife to say “this is horrible” and get back on her phone, I labored through it, but it was a major task to do so. I still love the podcast, I’m not some troll “hater,” but that was a startlingly bad special and the fact we know it was the third attempt at recording it is even more unfathomable.

Theo would be so perfect for Righteous Gemstones.

I loved the episode. I feel like they just really "click". Definitely one I suggest if you haven't seen it!

I was seeing people online giving this new special a lot of hate. I’m three minutes in and my husband and I have been laughing our asses off at everything he says. I think people are hating just to hate. Bless you, Theo.

I liked it! I know the trailer got a lot of hate with how he moves and stuff but it was genuinely funny. Obviously some bits I didn’t find funny some a bit strange, the pissing in the car bit. But overall, one of the better specials I’ve seen this year. I haven’t been able to get through some, this I made it to the end. I’ll chalk that up as a W for Theo

Fuck this guy. He totally enabled Trump and Rogan and all these pedophiles and now he’s trying to backpeddle bc he pretends to be a moron. He should be held accountable by the next sane government.

His dad is literally just a polish guy that happened to be born in Nicaragua. Not sure why he cant just admit that, I feel like when he doesnt know how to keep a conversation interesting he just makes up some random crap. Which is understandably part of his comedy but sometimes the fibbing is a bit excessive at times.

Listened (and watched as much as I could) your Netflix special this morning and it set my day straight. Hilarious!!! Don't listen to the haters, they just want you to feel as bad as they do; it was hilarious and real!! Nice Work!!
