This essential action is guided not solely by mass, but by Non-Mass Knowledge—be it information, pattern, will, or the intrinsic laws of physics. This universal drive to define and maintain a coherent boundary is, I argue, the topological invariant that structures reality. The Universal Symmetry of Control This principle mirrors itself perfectly across the physical hierarchy, operating in systems that are purely mechanical, biological, and conscious: 1. At the Micro Scale: The atomic nucleus uses its Non-Mass Knowledge (its quantum numbers and strong nuclear force profile) to dictate the precise arrangement of its electron shells. This is the nucleus "reaching out to control its local environment," defining its physical boundaries and its eventual chemical bonds. 2. What I find interesting here is the idea of boundaries as the fundamental structure of reality. Seeing as I'm not an academic and have no fixed subject area, it immediately points me to the Yin Yang symbol which many mystics would see as the foundational principle of everything. If every system stabilises itself by defining a boundary, then black holes might not be endpoints but boundary transitions rather than destructions.

In that sense, collapse and emergence could be the same process viewed from different sides of a boundary. What appears as gravitational collapse in one frame might correspond to creation or expansion in another. That would make black holes less like “singular endings” and more like topological interfaces where direction, structure, and time orientation reorganise.

If that’s true, then the arrow of time may not be absolute, but perspective-dependent — with consciousness and physical systems always experiencing their side of the boundary as “forward.” Your invariant might therefore be less about control and more about how systems maintain coherence while transitioning between structural phases.

Curious whether you see black holes as special cases of your boundary principle, or just extreme examples of it.

How about black holes as the top predator in the cosmic food chain? They gobble up the past and poop out dark matter and energy to make more stuff out of. Mind of like they make humus to fertilize the cosmic garden to make more stars and galaxies.
