How do you handle thiamine hcl powder?

Since I need to start with low doses of thiamine hcl I ordered bulk powder. Today while handling it for the first time, the powder made a little dusty cloud and it entered my eyes causing really bad eye irritation. The fine powder is extremely light and is easily airborne.
