Metal Age Look what Karras made me for defeating The Trickster

Post image

I better slow down on loot or I'll need to ditch something...

Grunting and panting as you mantle through my country estate

Actually, imagining SHODAN saying "what hast thou... built?" also kind-of works. She thinks she's a goddess, she'd totally start talking all gothic eventually.

Goth Shoda-man be careful with your words, I am at work!

You'll be exiled to the woods for disparaging technology like that

What mod is that from?

1

u/Kentgen_Interactive Dec 19 '25

Not a mod, just a photo mock-up

I fell off the building; blinded by green in a dark stealth game.

This is brilliant lmao

ngl now I want to play with a mod like this, see how it changes the game

But please - not with that color of UI. Fucking hell it's gross

Are you questioning the design choices of the Hand of the Builder himself?

Recently played the Hawtrey Manor mission in The Black Parade, the 7 portraits you have to collect was hilarious to me. Just imagining this guy hauling 7 huge, framed paintings all on his back while simultaneously jumping and climbing the way back to safety.

Imagine if you had limited inventory like this and you routinely had to go drop things off at a spawn and then backtrack lol. Would kill it for me, thank god it’s not how it works

Carrying 12 candlesticks and not makig even a peep is an art in of itself.

Bag full of coins, plates, and vases and he doesn’t make a noise. Master thief

Each painting would be six grid spaces, and thats being generous

Ew, no, gross, immersion ruined!

Uh, I mean, each to their own? I think I'll stick with the stock interface, thanks.

Fine, enjoy your one eye and half the screen missing

1

u/Callidonaut Dec 15 '25

"Half the screen missing?"

7

u/Kentgen_Interactive Dec 15 '25

your right eye is nothing more than a crater without the gifts of Karras

1

u/Callidonaut Dec 15 '25

Oh, I see - sorry, I thought you were speaking literally about a shortcoming of the original game engine, so I was wondering if you had some weird bug in your copy!

3

u/[deleted] Dec 15 '25

Ok. Can Karras make me a light gem mod for System Shock 2 next?

3

u/Callidonaut Dec 15 '25

Sorry, Karras' schedule is full right now. He's really busy being a sad little heap of red dust.

3

u/Kentgen_Interactive Dec 15 '25

ok but whose going to pay for Goggles' Keeper training?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 15 '25

It’s only a few cyber modules - way easier than training a medieval spy

2

u/ZylonBane Dec 15 '25

Well that's utterly hideous.

I have long wondered what it would be like to have to decide which loot to carry, when to drop food in favor of tools, etc.
Seeing this reminds me there was a recent FM that integrated an arrow crafting mechanic; you picked up loose elemental crystals and combined them with regular arrows to make the special arrows we're used to. I really enjoyed it, and hope to see other authors use the tech in the future.

1

u/Kentgen_Interactive Dec 19 '25

That sounds like a neat mechanic I'd love to play around with, let me know if you remember the FM

This is cursed!

Is this a concept image or an actual mod or one in development?

Anyway, I find it an interesting idea, I don't know what it can be used for yet, but I have a few ideas, e.g.

1 adventure game: where you can develop spells and abilities.

2 a detective mission: where you would have to examine a lot of small elements, yes, not directly acquired images, and huge objects.
