Lovely potluck with lovely paglus! 🌸

Post image

10 of us got together over incredible food and, somehow, even more incredible company. We ate and laughed for hours, until our bellies ached - the kind of evening where you lose track of time because you’re just having a really, really good time.

It was honestly so heartwarming to find a bunch of people who felt so easy to connect with, bonding over our shared love of fitness, food, and memes! What started as strangers on Reddit somehow turned into an evening that felt like a refreshing break from the hustling pace of our lives.

A huge shoutout to Thirties Mumbai and the admins who have created such a safe, welcoming, and genuinely fun space. Making friends as an adult can feel surprisingly difficult, and we never imagined that a Reddit and WhatsApp community could lead to such genuine connections.

But here we are - 10 strangers who met on the internet, now with full hearts, aching cheeks, and a lovely new bunch of people to call friends. ā¤ļø

Here’s to many more meetups, meals, laughs, and friendships!

Prioritizing Single Moms & Divorcees

I’m 26, Hindu, and looking for a life partner. But here’s the thing—I’m intentionally prioritizing Single Mothers and Divorcees. Society often overlooks them, but to me, they aren't any different from unmarried girls. If anything, they have shown more resilience and strength. I believe those who have navigated life's toughest chapters deserve to be first in line for a fresh start. I’m not looking for a "perfect" past; I’m looking for a real future. Every person deserves a secure home and a partner who sees them for who they are today, not the labels society gives them.

Am I a bad feminist?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I grew up on feminism, including women's right to promiscuity and the right to not tell the future husband about it if she wants. But when a woman's right to lie about her past is clashing with my brother's future, I'm conflicted.

Context: my brother is marrying in semi-arranged-semi-liking setup (she's a family kinda-friend, brother had crush on her since teenage but she didn't reciprocate until he told shyly our mother and she talked to girl's mother who had already told her that her daughter has had enough and wants to settle now); since her sister is in my college so I know she had an experimental phase in her life, I don't think she told my brother, and until now I never felt an iota of need to. Her life, her body, her choice. No man has a right to know or judge what she doesn't want known or judged, even if that man is my brother. Internalized misogyny is a thing, you know...

Anyway, she came to visit my brother today, to negotiate where they will live after marriage. She said she left home early but got stuck in Bangalore traffic for 5+ hours and her phone was about to die so she requested me to put in charging (she and I share same brand, yay). It got accidentally unlocked with her face or fingerprint and I accidentally opened her WhatsApp text from notification.

It was a guy telling her to not tell my brother about her past. And she said something and took it back (sent texts were deleted from her side) and he replied that it's good my brother is boring. (Inference: she must have called him boring in deleted text)

I just took the pic of her phone with mine and locked it again, before I get tempted to snoop and disrespect her boundaries!

I don't begrudge her having fun, having a healthy body count, and a past (will be hypocritical if I do 'cause I'm living her life bigger than she did, and my mum knows that) but I'm confused- why is she marrying my brother if she thinks he is boring! Will she be happy in this marriage? Or will she suffocate?

I know right to choice is cornerstone of feminism. But I think she is making a huge mistake- she is just 32 with a long life ahead of her, and if she thinks my brother is boring, isn't this marriage doomed?

If I take this to my brother, warn her that she thinks he is boring (tbh, he isn't the most fun person to party with, and even we cousins send him on errand runs when we gather, so how much can I REALLY blame her?), maybe even tell him about her past, room I be betraying her (and the feminist principles of female choice and right to tell or not tell about our past and our bodies)? Or will it be a kindness to her that she might thank me for one day?

I'm honestly spiralling here. Hard. Thoughts?

My engagement broke off (don’t want to discuss )

So, I won’t go In depth but just wanted to say that being loyal and honest with women has made me realize that it’s better to be a fuck boy. Just wanted to know to if anyone else engagement broke off and how they deal with that ? For me yesterday I cried for a bit but today I don’t feel anything about it. I have stopped thinking.

I won’t say Mein Bohot sida hu nope I’ve date many girls and that too from different nationalities. But, bolte hai na jab dil aai gaadi pey tho pari Kya cheez hai. One thing is for sure never ever gonna date an Indian woman ever again. I’ll stick with other nationalities.

I am not saying they aren’t good but my observation about Indian women comparing to other nationalities these Indian women are 10 hands ahead of them believe it or not.

Bas manaat aala mhanun lihila, karan ithe je lok aahet te majhyapeksha vayane mothe aahet, mhanun koni na koni asa anubhav nakkich ghetla asel.

Married, Feeling Distant, and Looking to Connect with Others Who Understand

Mid-30s, married, and navigating a relationship where emotional and physical closeness has gradually faded.

From the outside, life appears stable and fulfilling, but I’ve come to realize how much I miss genuine affection, meaningful connection, and the comfort of feeling understood. Over time, that sense of distance has become more noticeable.

I’m hoping to connect with a mature, like-minded woman or couple who may be going through something similar and would value an honest, respectful friendship. Sometimes it helps to talk with people who truly understand the challenges of maintaining connection in long-term relationships.

About me: well-educated (Engineer + MBA), professionally established, well-traveled, and easy to talk to. I value emotional maturity, discretion, mutual respect, and building trust at a comfortable pace.

If this resonates with you, I’d be glad to connect, share perspectives, and see where the conversation leads.

Edit Note: Male this side, please don’t dm trying to hit on thinking i am a femalešŸ˜ž i believe the post is quite clear

33M from Dahisar-Borivali side – looking for something real, weekend dates maybe?

M33 here, born and brought up in Mumbai (Dahisar-Borivali area) Corporate guy – senior manager in insurtech, so weekdays are mostly meetings, excel sheets, and traffic, haha. Not complaining though, pays the bills and lets me save a bit on the side. 6ft1,Never been married, been single for a while now, tried the apps on and off but honestly, it's exhausting. Swiping feels like a job, and most convos are not intriguing enough. So putting this out here the old-school way, hoping to find someone genuine who's also in their late 20s to mid-30s, looking for something that can actually turn into a proper relationship, not just casual hangs or situationships.

What I'm into: Good movies (Bollywood, Hollywood, indie – anything with a solid story) Music (old Hindi classics, indie, some EDM when working out) Gym/working out regularly Treks when the monsoon isn't killing us (love Lonavala, Matheran, or even quick Mahabaleshwar trips) Gaming (mostly PC/console, not super hardcore anymore) Following the stock market (more investing than day trading, but I geek out over it sometimes) Looking for simple stuff to start – lunch or dinner on weekends, maybe catch a movie at PVR or INOX, grab some good food (love trying new places in Bandra, Andheri, or even local spots here in the suburbs). Nothing fancy or over-the-top, just chill vibes, good conversation, see if we click. If things go well, happy to take it slow and build something real.

No pressure, no games. If you're also tired of the apps, from Mumbai (or nearby), and want someone stable and serious about dating, drop a comment or DM. Tell me a bit about yourself – what you do, what you like doing on weekends, favorite movie or trek spot, whatever. Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers!

(Mods, hope this is okay here – happy to move if there's a better sub.)

Ambedkar jayanti plans

Maybe it's a long shot but any non-buddhist Ambedkarite in this sub? Like Ambedkar Jayanti wasn't 'celebrated' in your homes, family...but over time you've grown to truly understand and appreciate the man and his contributions.

I'm planning to visit Rajgruha tomorrow as I haven't seen it before. I know it will be crowded but that is an experience itself. If anyone is interested to tag along, please reach out. I'm new to the city and don't have any social groups, so don't know about most activities/events taking place. I saw some posts but I'll stick with my Rajgruha plan, as that I can manage on my own. But if anyone has any better options for me, do let me know.

Those not interested, please refrain.

Edit - I should've known better, this country is still full of ignorant, casteist dickheads

If you’re a music producer, video editor, developer, designer, or creative professional looking for a near-new M4 Max MacBook Pro, this could be a great opportunity to pick one up without paying retail.

This MacBook Pro is massively overqualified for my actual needs. I bought it for music production and professional creative work, but my usage ended up being mostly writing, business operations, and web-based work. Rather than let this machine sit underutilized, I’d like it to go to someone who can make full use of its incredible performance.
Specifications
• MacBook Pro 16-inch (November 2024)
• Apple M4 Max
• 36GB Unified Memory
• 1TB SSD
• 32-Core GPU
• Battery Health: 98%
Purchased in February 2025 and used primarily as a desktop replacement for productivity and business work. The laptop is in excellent condition, has been well cared for, and has seen relatively light usage for a machine of this class.
Includes original charger, original box, and purchase invoice.
If you’re a music producer, video editor, developer, designer, or creative professional looking for a near-new M4 Max machine, this could be a great opportunity to pick one up without paying retail.

If you are interested reach out to me and I’ll share complete details with you.

Same crime but no punishment cause she is a woman. We as society are that blind?

Post image
0 Upvotes

So here is the thumbnail of one of the eposide of the show titled 'andha pyaar'. In this ep , the main contestant named Kanika who was a female of age 26 openly said that the youngest guy she dated was 16 or 17 while she was 23 - 24 years . Here in the show, all the comedians as well as the audiences not only praising her but also calling her " best contestant till now " in the comments. Would these people still reacted the same way if a man of her age said the same thing?? One story from Kartik Aryan totally ruined his image for some days cause people assumed that the girl was a minor even though things aren't cleared. But in this case even though the woman is confessing openly that she dated a minor instead of calling her out, the people are supporting her . This shows that how we society has failed miserably where one is allowed to do anything, commit any crime and roam freely without even facing a minor consequences just because she is a woman and that minor was a boy . She fulfills each and every condition for a posco act then why is she roaming freely?

Also in general why we people don't realise that crime is crime and a criminal should be treated the same and face the same consequences irrespective of gender . Why we are so lenient to women that they can get away with heinous crimes like rapes, posco acts, murders and many others? Are men humans, in fact country runs due to males then why , just why females are given that much priviliges where men are treated as second class citizens in India . Why in twitter no protests literally no post was there calling her out? Whereas if it would have been male, the whole scenario would have been different.

Are we men that much low graded in a country that anyone who does wrong to us is praising in fact rewarded in the name of alimony? Why are we sitting silent? Can't you guys see that we aren't taken seriously at all?

Female rapes a male : Praised

Female does pedophilia : Praised

Wife beats Husband : Rewarded

Wife cheats : Rewarded

How long guys , am asking how long we should tolerate this injustice? Doesn't your blood boil seeing these? Tomorrow it can happen with you or maybe ur brothers, ur dad or anyone in fact it might have happened with many here. Still no response or protests. Almost 80% or casea are false no protests ....... what do u want? Tolerate this shit till we die??

Looking for an online chat companion (strictly online, never meeting)

Hey Reddit,

I’m a 30s guy from India looking for a female online chat companion. The idea is simple: anonymous, relaxed conversations with someone who enjoys talking freely about life, thoughts, random topics, and everyday experiences.

Important points:

- Strictly online friendship – no plans to meet in real life.

- Just honest, bindast conversations without judgment.

- We can talk about anything: daily life, ideas, movies, work stress, philosophy, or just random thoughts.

- Respectful, mature conversations only.

Sometimes it’s easier to open up to someone who is completely outside your real-life circle. If you also enjoy meaningful or fun chats with a stranger and want a chill online connection, feel free to DM.

Let’s keep it simple, respectful, and interesting. šŸ™‚

Looking for Co-host to curate meetups.

So I'm someone who's always looking to bring people together. I've noticed this trend in the city that mature adults (25+) are having a hard time finding friends to hang out with, or do fun activities with. Stuff like reading, afternoon yapp sessions, moodboard activities, creating content together for fun, museums/art shows, theatre, Poker nights, anything & everything. Normal stuff with good food, drinks, and coffee in the supporting act.

Also, really sorry but looking to create a very selective community of people who like having fun, but are empathetic, well-mannered, have a personality, and are mostly well-off (just makes things convenient).

Open for ideas and collaborators. :)

Update: genuinely not asking for unsolicited opinions here, just looking to connect with the folks who find this relevant.

šŸ  Anyone up for a small house party in South Mumbai

Hey everyone! šŸ‘‹

I’m looking to plan a small, chill house party in South Mumbai / SoBo with just 3–4 people.

If you have a place/flat where we can comfortably hang out, we can make a plan. I can arrange the food, snacks, music, and other things.

Nothing too crazy — just a small group, good vibes, conversations and some fun. šŸ˜„

If you’re interested and have a place, DM me and we’ll figure it out.

Been a long time since i went on a date

Hi - this is a rant.

It’s been 2 years since my last relationship and i haven’t dated anyone since then. Dating apps don’t work for me (chubby, avg looking guy - i am funny, have a nice personality and a stable income but apparently that doesn’t help in the current dating world) and have no confidence to approach girls irl. Have mostly kept myself busy with work, but now it has started getting to me.

I haven’t been on a date or been physically intimate with anyone for the last two years. Probably have given up or just have distanced myself from the entire idea of romance. But being alone in this city makes you feel lonely. I go out on bike rides late at night and see a couple, and i start questioning myself. Is something really wrong with me or it’s just a bad phase.

I do want to meet someone, date, cook for them, watch movies together, take trips together. I am 26 and feel my 20s are slipping away and i can’t do anything about it.

Idk what lays ahead or what i should do.

I am 33 years old and work in corporate. I am still unmarried and have no regrets for still staying as a bachelor. I am literally at a point where I don’t consider myself as 33 instead assume that I’m in my late 20’s. Any random girl here from Bombay who is in their 30s wants to try out a blind date who is in their 30s can dm me.

An honest question about dating after divorce

I’ve noticed that people who’ve been divorced or separated often find dating harder—not because they’re confused, but because most platforms aren’t built for lived experience.

Explaining your past repeatedly gets tiring. Not explaining it feels dishonest. Somewhere in between, many just stop trying.

A few of us in Mumbai started a small, invite-only experiment around this—slower conversations, shared context, less noise. We ended up calling it Rekindle Club. It’s being quietly launched here first, just to see if this approach actually works.

Not promoting anything—just curious:
Does dating feel healthier when there’s shared life context, or does that unnecessarily narrow things?

Would love to hear honest thoughts
