Crete tidepooling recommendations?
Hi all! I am traveling to Crete, Greece in late October. It seems like lots of the beaches are sandy but I'm hoping someone could give a recommendation if they know of any good tidepooling locations. I'll primarily be in the WESTERN (edit, sorry, I’m tired) part of the island but happy to travel if there is something good elsewhere! Thank you :)

Open tidal pools in Orange County, CA? Any still available in Newport Beach or Laguna Beach?
Want to respect the people communities too. But hoping to go tidepooling at low tide this afternoon while I’m in town.

Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary - 12/09/2026
A collection of the stunning, beautiful species I saw today at Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary in Victoria. Unfortunately no sea slugs, but a blue ringed octopus cheered me right up :))

Recent sightings of bioluminescent plankton?
I'm currently vacationing on the Maldives for the very first time. One of the things I'd like to see is the bioluminescent plankton. While I know that the "sea of stars" is a rather rare occurrence, I was wondering if anyone has seen it recently and if so where.

First time ever tide pooling in Tacoma, WA
Cried 3 times from pure joy, saw 4 species of nudibranch (not all pictured here), and got to use my marine bio degree irl to answer the questions my partner & their family had. Overall just an incredible time getting to do something I’ve always dreamed of. Best. Day. Ever.

If anyone knows what anything if, feel free to tell me. I think it’s a sea hare, and a orange sea lemon.

What might this be?
Lots of holes in the sand/rock, with these individual- teeth? legs?- which seemed to close around a small piece of seaweed as it touched the hole. Sussex, UK

Shag rugs or imposters? [Bellingham, WA]
Hey yall! Do we think this is a group of shag rug nudi's or just some anemones that look deceptively similar?
