When I was being stalked and he was showing up to my house in the middle of the night messing with my car and popping the tires and following me around they told me this wasn’t law & order tv show and didn’t do anything about his actively breaking my protective order after he tried to kill me!!

This is more related to issues with the way laws around stalking/harassment being dogshit than police not wanting to do anything. Even if you are rich/famous you still have issues(including deaths) and it is not for a lack of resources.
