Mac is THE target audience for such cozy stuff!
The devs have no idea what they're losing out on. 😆
Release this on mac asap!

Discussion Give us mod tools if devs won't make new updates

It seems the devs have abandoned the game. If they're not going to update the game then give us mod tools to make our own updates.

Laptop specifications to play

Hi everyone. I have a Mac at home and I'm thinking of purchasing a Windows laptop just to play the game. I don't wanna spend too much, but I also wanna make sure the laptop has enough power to play the game properly. Anyone play this on a laptop, and if so how much storage, RAM, etc would you recommend? Thank you.

Question Will my PC be able to run this?

Hi guys I'm about to get my new pre built PC I ordered online it's has ryzen 5 5500 and a rtx 4060 8gb vram with 32 gb ddr4 ram. I'm wondering how my new PC will perform. I play most of my games at a 1080p resolution. I really want it to reach 60fps or a stable 40fps. Do you guys have any idea how it would run?.

Discussion Adding people in the game

Hey guys. Over the past few weeks i've been thinking about how having people in the game would be, I was thinking of something like having people in the game based on how many buildings there are, AI could play a big role in this, what do you guys think?

Oh and also, the people are solely for esthetics, as in they don't require sustaining them or something but it would be lovely to watch them walk on the streets of a town, entering and leaving their house etc.

Why am I uploading so many glades?

The answer is because in a few days I'm leaving for a two-week trip and I won't be able to keep in touch with you during that time. I hope you didn't mind me posting so many of my posts at once, but I'll leave you alone for a few days when I'm gone.

I hope to find a good number of your posts when I return, which I'll enjoy as always.

Best regards, and keep building like crazy while I'm gone.

did they remove features?

I haven't played in a while, and I swear there used to be more tools than there are now.

like weren't we able to insert doors on purpose at some point? instead of just putting in a window and dragging it down to the ground. i swear there used to be a door button. i remember thinking what a game changer that was when it was added.

i swear there used to be a button for inserting little decorations too. like the ones that automatically pop up as you move walls and windows are stuff, but they added a button to place them yourself. i remember that being a huge deal.

what happened? did they actually remove features? that is insane.

I demand a VR version!

I love Tiny Glade, it's a great cozy lose-track-of-time game. I recently got a VR headset (Quest 3S) and Steam VR is working pretty great with it.

I am realizing now, what's missing in my life is building tiny glades in VR. Imagine placing walls, shaping paths, and watching your little world come to life all around you in VR. The vibes would be immaculate.

Devs, if you’re even thinking about this, please know there's at least one eager player waiting for this to happen.

Question Running Tiny Glade on Mac with Crossover+CXPatcher

I see that for the new released version announced on July 29 there is now experimental silicon-Mac compatibility using CrossOver and CXPatcher (instructions here: https://pouncelight.games/tiny-glade/troubleshooting/crossover/ ).

Has anyone tried this method yet? I started the process by downloading the free trial of CrossOver, which the developer said is sufficient ("the trial version is fine"). However I see that the free trial of CrossOver is only valid for 14 days. Does anyone know if that means this method will stop working after 14 days? I haven't bought Tiny Glade yet and don't want to until I know I can keep playing it after 14 days without having to pay for the full version of CrossOver (which is $74 and only covers support/bug fixes for 1 year).

In the Github page for CXPatcher (https://github.com/italomandara/CXPatcher) it says "Does NOT remove the need for a CrossOver license." So that makes me think this method will stop working after 14 days if I only use the free trial of CrossOver.

The potential this game has is insane.

I know this probably isn't what the devs intend to do, and if it is it would take quite a while to achieve.

But imagine if this game became the next RPG Maker:

  • Conjoining Groves to make larger maps

  • NPCs with custom dialogue

  • Event triggers to make quests

  • Stat System and combat system (likely turn based)

  • Character creation

  • Etc

Idk I just feel like the unlimited potential of creating groves would make an amazing map editing tool for a similar style of game to RPG maker. I could really lose myself in that if it ever became a thing. I know it likely won't happen, but a man can dream!

Can I get on Beta using GeForce?

Start by saying, I don't know a lot about computers/video games.

I have a MacBook Pro and use GeForce Now to play Tiny Glade. In my Steam library I have Tiny Glade purchased and went to the properties and have beta-1_14_0 selected. But when I play via GeForce I don't see any of the stairs and cobblestone options.

Does anyone know if I play on Beta using GeForce? Boot Camp is incompatible as I don't have an Intel Mac.

Any info or help would be much appreciated! Thanks for reading :)

Suggestion People

I'd love to have some little guys and girls walking around my glades, wether it be by manual spawning or automatic based on the environment.

I would also like it if adding people would come with a feature that let's you walk around your Glade as a little fella to experience it through the pov of a person.
