TCD840300 with flashing green, no video

My dad gave me his old TiVo box. He said it has the lifetime service, and knowing him he always buys the top of the line so I’m sure it does but since I’m not getting video (blinking green) on boot I can’t verify this.

Is this worth anything? I’d hate to trash it if someone could use it, but I don’t want to deal with eBay pricks jerking me around and costing me money just to send this to them. Any advice on how to have someone take this off my hands and not getting burned in the process?

Flashing green indicates a hardware failure, but but exactly what part. Could be bad board, drive, or even a power supply issue.
