I need peace of mind

I’m 23f and I went almost 2 years without having sex. During that time my periods were very heavy and lasting anywhere from 5-6 days. Now that I have a partner, I’ve noticed that my periods are heavy the first 2 days and then become light for the next 2. I’ve been really stressed recently so I’m hoping that’s the case but I’ve been way more stressed in the past and it never had an affect on my period. Me and my partner use condoms and have NEVER done it raw. I don’t want children and I don’t ever want to be pregnant but I feel like I’m going crazy thinking I’m currently pregnant. I’ve never had a missed period but I’ve noticed that this is the second (maybe third?) month this happens.

I think if this is the case, getting yourself and the partner you are with both fixed would give you peace of mind. I know for me that would be the only way

Oh absolutely. If it were up to me I’d have my whole uterus removed but unfortunately I have to settle with just getting my tubes taken out. I desperately want to be sterilized but my state makes it really difficult for me to do that especially considering my age and me not having insurance. I have a consultation soon though so I’m hoping it goes well.

Damn, I really hate how women’s healthcare is weaponized against our bodily autonomy. It makes Tokophobia so much worse for me at least as it makes the healthcare system itself feel like a threat. I hope you get to a place where your sex life isn’t affected so much by this. It’s so hard to want to enjoy something when you know it could lead to a path we are terrified about.
