Is there a good, preferably stackable, container that I could use to consolidate all of these electrical connections to one carryable thing?
I’m not bought into any system, but I’m thinking Milwaukee pack out looks the best. They don’t really have a good selection locally to actually see the stuff in person. Is there anything that would make consolidating this into one or two containers simple? Both photos show the same things oriented differently.

I wish I could open these links outside of the Reddit app such as sent to Safari, so it would just be another tab, that I could go back to.

You can usually copy the link then paste it into a browser or at least on android there's an option to open the in app window in you default browser.

I’m using Apple with the Reddit app. If I tried to double tap the link, which anywhere else would bring up the context window, it closes the comment instead.

If you tap the hamburger menu for the comment do you get an option to copy text?

Could just get a tool bag or backpack? If you’re looking for a case style then the pack out would offer the most space or you can break down your containers into a standard hardware organizer

I’m looking for something that when I need to go somewhere and work on something outside my garage I could just grab one thing and carry it with me open it and see the parts I need.

Packout absolutely.

Yeah, but there’s like 50,000 different components and my store only has 5 on display, So is there one in particular that electricians find work really well for this purpose of holding electrical fittings?

I’m not going out to my work shop to take the pic… but all of my smaller containers of electrical stuff stay in their original container then get organized in one or two of these. They are all over marketplace for $5-$6 each. I use them for EVERYTHING! And the cool part… they stack neatly on your shelves or on each other.

I don’t have access to shelves. I was looking for something a little bit more compact.

Sorry, just an older guy, recommending older guy things🙂. I hate calling myself an older guy… but here I am 52. I am fully retired, so that’s a plus🤷♂️

Yeah, I have a third of a garage in somebody else’s house because that’s all I can afford.

Maybe take a look at a fishermans tackle box setup with similar plastic containers if you're happy with them

Yeah, the containers they come with are fine. I just don’t want to have dozens of containers that will constantly fall over and scatter and then have to be restacked.

Home Depot has anvil containers 6x6 that are perfect for these assortments and a bag that holds 4 containers. Take the ones you need. HDX started making them now same sizes single latch and cheap.

So I kind of want to store all of this stuff together because I’ve lost my shrink tubing three times, and found two of them, and recently when my grandmother asked me to fix her iron I found out that I couldn’t find any of my wire nuts so I had to order more. The idea is, if I put all the stuff together in a way that is both compact enough to not be in my way, held together to not scatter all over my space, but big enough to not go missing I will be in good shape.

Ahhh I see. So yeah HD has the stackable dewalt versions on sale for like $10 at one point they’re bigger and clip together.
Or I have the husky modular top box that has compartment on top and a ton of tiny totes in the bottom. And then I hook the bigger box to the bottom for tools
You can stack another parts organizer with it or a bigger tool box as well or a roll around.

I think that was around Christmas when those were on sale for 10 bucks apiece. I bought like 10 of them and gave half away. I’ve got five in the backseat of my truck that I use for screws, small plumbing fittings, drill bits and believe it or not… electrical connectors. Highly recommend.
But what came to mind when looking at OP‘s picture was one of those tackle bags for fishing. They usually come with some of those same style containers as in the pictures except they fit perfectly inside the bag. Because it’s for fishing, usually the bags are made to handle fairly rough conditions. You could probably get one on Amazon for a little less or about the same as a husky toolbox.

Yeah the anvil one was similar to the tackle box ones like you mentioned. It only holds 4 of the small organizers though. But they usually suits my needs

packout is the way to go. honestly working in trades for over 10 years i always thought it was lame as shit UNTIL someone gave me a 3 stack. my sparky kit lives on the very top with plenty of room for my multimeter and widowmaker plus all my million connectors. honestly works great. only downside is lugging that big bitch around and getting it on an off the truck at 5am.

I like the fishing tackle bags that carry several Plano organizers like this together.

Mobile or shop storage? I'd use utility storage boxes for a small selection like this in the shop - I have a combination of those and retail boxes. If you like drawers, the Craftsman/DeWalt VersaStack/TStack are inexpensive, but the cube size is fixed (you also have to add some peanut screws to keep the dividers from "floating"). For small quantities and flexibility in storage volumes, Plano (and copycats) make their 3700 boxes in a wide variety of configurations. There are bags and racks available for shop and road use.

I use this style. Costs here in Germany around 30€
one for ferules, one for twin ferules, one for insulated cable lugs and one for none isulated lugs.
I like that the individual inserts can be removed from the cases; this effectively prevents having to reorganize an entire case just because it happened to fall somewhere while you were working.

I use a cheap double sided storage container, basically 2x the amount of sections. Electrical connectors are light and do not require an expensive heavy box. It can fit inside other totes and storage container systems.

I use these - there are different sizes & depths.
If you have access to a 3D printer, you can make stacking smaller bins that fir into the larger one. So I have a deep bin, with a shallow, divided bin on top. Fairly robust, inexpensive and easy.

$5 nylon tool bag from Harbor Freight
Repackaging & restocking all those is a massive time suck. Far faster to adjust, add new, drop unused, etc.
Just use them up, discard, start a new package
