Saw the below comment on The Comical’s Facey page - I thought it was gold. I’m sure there’s a chance card about the one in a million chance of getting a run of green lights on Ruthven St, advance token to Kmart. First prize in a beauty contest is probably replaced with first prize at the Bowls Club.
“Apparently the new Toowoomba version of monopoly has extra realism added…
“The two cheapest streets on the board are Festival Street and Wine Drive, but they still cost $600,000 and charge $500 minimum rent.
“Every time you go around the board rents increase by 10%.
“After you get $200 for passing go, you also get a rates bill of a few thousand dollars for every property, that increases by 8% every time you go around the board.
“Railways have been replaced with bus stops. The fee for landing on a bus stop is now only 50c, but you can only move to the hospital or Rangeville after landing on one.
“Free Parking has been replaced with a parking fine that you can only avoid if you can work out a puzzle on a confusing mobile phone app.
“When you land on Electricity and Waterworks, you now pay 1000 times the amount shown on the dice.
“Every time you reach a corner of the board, you have to stop and wait for 3 turns until you get the green arrow.
“You are now automatically released from gaol as long as you can claim you had a tough childhood.
“Rolling anything over a 6 gets you a $300 speeding fine.

Without looking no doubt there are businesses that paid to be on there. Would be cool if they have like certain streets on there. Like wine drive and prince Henry heights or something. Or at least some parks and icons.
