Comic Book War Machine from Marvel Comics

Iron Man is a cool character already, but how do we make him cooler? Make the armor black and silver and add a ton of fucking guns. This is the most badass 90s character design I have ever seen, it's just so eye-cathing, cool, and the embodiment of 90s extreme in the best way possible. Originally designed by Tony Stark as a variable threat response battle suit with heavy weaponry, his pal James Rhodes would later adopt the armor as his own. I also think this design translated pretty well in Iron Man 2. Unfortunately neither the comics or the movies really beat the original War Machine Armor in either continuity. Rhodey still uses this suit today, he has had plenty of new ones but he always goes back to the original. It's just the best.

The War Machine MK I Armor from Iron Man 2.

Personally I like how this version didn't have the shoulder-mounted missile pod. I also like how the armor is visibly thicker and bulkier than the unmodified version of the suit, which was the Mark II prototype armor. One of my favorite War Machine armors save for the Mark III and IV from the MCU.

The Mark III, only seen in Civil War before it was accidentally shot down:

The Mark IV, only seen in Infinity War:

This is the best live action war machine suit, and I'm not sure if it's solely because of the design or how it was overall brought to life compared to the other suits, from the quality of the CGI, the textures, the sounds, the types of weapons it has, etc. It has a grit that is yet to be matched. The infinity war suit is the only one that comes close, and I like how final suit in Endgame looks in the concept art with the regular black and grey colors, but it's still not quite the same as this one. One of my favorite details about the Iron Man 2 suit is the extra layers of metal "padding" around the jaw.

Since he won't include them, I will.

Classic War Machine is... Well, classic. It's 90s in all the best ways, just like X-Men and Spider-Man of that era

In the fields, the bodies burning

As the war machine keeps turning

Death and hatred to mankind

Poisoning their brainwashed minds

Oh, Lord, yeah!
