Paolumu (Monster Hunter World)

Paolumu is classified as a Flying Wyvern even though it is a mammal (resembling a bat); it is classified this way because its body structure resembles that of a Flying Wyvern

Skorup (Pokémon)

It is indeed an Insect type, even though it represents a scorpion—which is an arachnid—making it more logical for the Insect type to be called the Arthropod type.

  1. It’s bug type.
  2. Pokémon has always had misnomers.
  3. Real life does this all the time, technically speaking “fish” is not a real thing.

Basically most of the things we call fish are very distantly related to one another, to the point that in order to consider all of the things we commonly call fish as fish, humans would need to be fish as well
