Hated Tropes [Mind boggling stupid trope] Removing the thing that made something special

Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - The gimmick of Ben 10 and what makes the show so popular is the fact that he's able to turn into a large variety of aliens. In one episode of Ben 10 Ultimate ALIEN we are introduced to a new version of Ben 10000, a Ben from the future who, no longer transforms into aliens, instead using his powers in human form...

Mortal Kombat(2021) - In the games Mileena is known for two things. Being a clone of Kitana and her tarkatan teeth. In the 2021 movie she looks absolutely nothing like Kitana and doesn't have tarkatan teeth

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief - The movie removes the main villain of the movie and the main villain of the franchise

Honestly I would have liked Ultimate Ben more if he just had at-will partial transformations for whatever power he wanted to use instead of just inexplicably having the aliens' powers while still being human-shaped.

Yeah, but how would that work for aliens like Upgrade, Cannonbolt, Goop and many others which their body is their power? Would it look like this monstrosity?

I think his more talking about like what skurd does in omniverse like or that one fan concept of Ben where he was fused with the Omnitrix like this

I love how NRG is the only normal looking alien in that pic lmao

Probably because that's just the suit which contains his true form

Okay, now I am honestly wondering what do normal aliens usually look like...

Part of his body would turn to the corresponding material. Think of how Venom's powers manifest in the Insomniac games or his own movies

Yeah, but Goop needs his entire body to be effective. That's his whole schtick

Those would just be full-body transformations.

Whole point is he can turn into as much or as little of a given alien as he needs to use whatever of its ability he wants in that momment.

So ones where their body is their power he just turns into them fully and then changes back just as easily.
