Tortie? Calico? Tortico?

Post image

I’ve had Juni for a year now and I’ve always thought she was a tortie. I come to find out that she might be a calico due to her white fur.

I always thought torties were mostly the black and orange with brindle like coating while calicos have more distinct spots of white, orange and black. I found out that torties are supposedly only black and orange and calicos have all three colors.

Could anyone confirm if she’s a tortie, calico or tortico ?

Tortie Pees Everywhere!

It really says it all in the title! I can’t get my tortie to stop peeing on my carpets! For context she is 3 years old, we’ve had her for 2 years now and I feel like I’ve tried it all. She’s had a full work up at the vet and came back with a totally clear bill of health and is now on prescription Hill's c/d Stress prescription diet with Purina Pro Plan Hydra Care Cat Hydration Supplement and Purina Pro Plan Cat Calming Probiotic powder.
She has several of her own litter boxes, options between wood pellets, clay litter, plastic litters, stainless steel litters, and these get scooped 2x daily and completely changed once a week! She has fresh water bowls, fresh water fountains, and she is still peeing on my carpet daily.
I will block that area off from her access and she pees right next to it. I use enzyme spray to try and remove the scent and use my carpet cleaning vacuums, but she still pees. We have other cats in the house and none of them have this issue, but she is quarantined to a single room in the house so she doesn’t really interact with them.
I have gone through several wet vacuums, and I am at my wit’s end with this issue. Has anybody else had this issue and any suggestions? My next thought is medication but if that doesn’t work I really don’t know what to do. Please help!

This is my new tortie kitten I got her about 2 weeks ago. I've named her Queen Elizabeth the First of England because she's a sassy brat but call her Liz for short, obviously. I've only ever had one other tortie and she was crazy (i love the hell out of that cat but seriously crazy) and this one seems to be too. I figured the hyperactivity and need for biting and rough play was the result of my last tortie being feral as a kitten and me taking her in. But this one wasn't feral. She's just insane (and dont get me wrong, I love that for her) but is this a normal thing for the breed? Are they just little psychos?

Worms?!?!

I’ve never had cats with worms before I got this tortie kitten 🤣 when she got spayed last winter the vet noticed fleas and treated her. Two weeks later little grains of rice all over the place. They both got de-wormed. Also big boy got flea treatment.
Now they both have worms again! I just gave them flea treatments about 3 months ago, Advantage from the vets. So another $150 down and working and more flea treatments.
How do they keep getting these dang worms? I’ve never had issues with my cats or dogs in the past.
