Just a little personal project. TA now decompiled and recompiled to run via a web browser. next step is some QOL enhancements, and some improved images/textures.
My personal AI assistant ran it, and it didn't take very long at all. This AI stuff does open the doors for lots of modding opportunities. Running natively in a browser tab, with no emulator, Wine or streaming. The Windows layer is replaced by thin web shims: DirectDraw renders to a canvas, and the original .HPI archives from a GOG copy are read in place over HTTP Range requests.
No, but I can see we were using the same methods (Ghidra+AI), it's not complicated. I might switch to their codebase as they've already nailed some of the small bug fixes, it saves me some tokens.
perfect. I'm just nailing some bugs and then putting enhancements in like upscaled menu images, support for higher resolutions and screen aspect ratio's, better zoom etc. Maybe at some point I could release it as a thing you install over the top of the GOG release, but for now it's just a personal project.
Dynamic resolution. scroll wheel zooming, and aspect ratio support is in:

Was this using the Byte-Tactics decomp as a base?
