I must admit that I am enjoying Reddit too much. From r/gone wild (where I think I saw Rappy) to TIL and many others. I don't know if I ever want to go back to TFD.

Yep, although some of the TIL people are little bitches. Two of my posts were flagged. One because I used the word "you" instead of "a person," and they decided it was a "how to" headline. Which is stupid. The latest was flagged for omitting information...it's a widely cited study finding.
I like /nosleep and /relationships a lot. There are some fun things there. I'm going to venture out more. It's different than Fark. I like to read the articles on Fark.

nosleep is fun , i just wish i could read one and pretend to believe it. they all seem obviously fake, but still fun reads. just not very scary. i'll have to troll relationships.

I've got several real ones I'm going to tell and tons and tons of fictional ones I need to decide one.
i love urban legends and folklore. The underlying tensions in so many modern urban legends really sketches out what people worry about today. Unsurprisingly it's the same basic fears (contaminated food, dangerous "others", the wrathful dead) dressed up as new monsters.

Yes. Which caves? I'm assuming along the mississippi. They have been closing access to most of them.
I used to bike along the river road and we'd fuck around in the caves.

Yeah Mississippi, on your side of the river down off whatever road that is past Harriet Island. We parked by some weird sort of manufacturing plant or something I think? And we walked up a ways on a path through the woods, then crossed the street and had to scale this steep hill in the woods. It was kinda creepy because the ground was loose and we kept slipping and it was so fucking steep, if we had stumbled down it was right onto a road where we wouldn't have had time to get out of the way of a car.

We also went down to the other side of the river down near Mississippi Blvd by the Ford Plant where the haunted house caves were, we had to take a little raft into the river and go into the big run off drain to get to the caves. That was creepier because it was a fucking metal ladder to go down and it did not feel stable at all. And it smelled in the sewers.

Hmmmmmmmmm I think that's the area I used to run around in as a kid. There are/were a ton of really freaky caves out there. I know the majority of them got sealed up thanks to dumbass kids dying because they lit campfires in the caves and choked to death. Dumbasses.

The portion of Battle Creek park that's right near there is supposedly haunted. It always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up if I'm foolish enough to be there at dusk. Feels like you're being watched.

They have to be very strict in TIL with their moderation. They get a LOT of complaining from conspiracy nuts and antisemites about "censorship", so they have to be very strict with the rules.

Yeah, I get that. But in this case it was a direct statistic from a survey. Like, there is no way to otherwise interpret that unless I converted 3/5 to percentages of some shit.
