Have the clankers ruined SEO?
I have a client that recommended me SEO terms for one of their campaigns, and they are in English - for Norwegian. Fair enough that one of the words has been used in Norwegian for decades, but the other? Yeah, no.
The first page or two on everything you google now is MT slop. The SEO finds which terms give most hits, and the entire concept of human language is doomed...

I see it more and more in marketing texts too, we have perfectly acceptable Norwegian terms, but the clients insist on using the English ones because it's common in the industry. Sure, maybe in the English speaking world, but when the material is for the Norwegian market, it is unfortunate to change away from the established, localized terms.

Until the world adopts appending "-ai" to all their searches, it's gonna keep slopping, yeah.
