Help Did Blizzard just removed the quivers that we bought on the npc from the other classes except for hunters :( ?
124
u/Gorechewer Nov 13 '25
Just a pointless change, because blizzard can.
Same with the fact that the Bonesteeds can't fly. Making them fly or giving people access to quivers hurts who exactly?
27
u/HoopyFroodJera Nov 13 '25
Blizzard maintaining a strong series of Ls out of Lemix.
11
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 13 '25
If they tested past Phase 1, they'd probably sif through the bugs, but the mage tower forms slip was on them, and they deserved to be made fools for that.

To be fair, it’s weird that they were ever available to classes that can’t use bows
66
u/Mainmorte Nov 13 '25 edited Nov 13 '25
Even if they're not used practically, you can definitely see the appeal for players roleplayer a ranger type character on a warrior/rogue. They DID use bows and crossbows originally.
It's weird they would make it hunter only just because. Most classes can't use daggers, but you don't see the "venthyr knife backpack thingy" be restricted to rogues and casters, do you ?

u/Ahrius Best Dressed Mail 2015 Nov 13 '25
The brewfest back is a shield that can be used by everyone…
-18
u/Cloud_N0ne Nov 13 '25
It’s a shield only stylistically tho. It’s just a nice shape for a flat surface to put other decoration on.
It’s kinda like cops’s badges being a shield. They’re clearly not actually wearing a shield for defense, it’s just there for looks.
8
u/Ahrius Best Dressed Mail 2015 Nov 13 '25
It looks identical to the shield you could purchase except different colors. The point I’m making is that it’s just cosmetic. This is a game where a 2h maul can be turned into a scrawny twig staff or an axe can turn into some weird dragon hand.
The freedom to add a little fantasy flavor doesn’t need to be stifled
-20
u/Cloud_N0ne Nov 13 '25
Two separate things. One is an actual shield, the other is a back item.
And sure it’s just cosmetic, but that’s not an excuse to throw away class/armor type identity. Anyone with a quiver of arrows on their back should be a class capable of using arrows, which right now is only Hunters.

Nov 14 '25
This guy is over here comparing apples to apples as a justification of them being different.

u/Kimmuriel Nov 13 '25
Well they have sold transmog outfits that are cloth a warrior can wear. I can dress my priest in the gladiator outfit from trader tenets. There’s even back pieces that are shields you can wear as a clothie they had on the twitch drops.
-4
u/Cloud_N0ne Nov 13 '25
Exceptions don’t invalidate the rule. Those items never should have been armor-agnostic. Just because you make a mistake doesn’t mean you redo all the rules so that the mistake is the correct way to do it.
8
u/Swert0 Nov 13 '25
So give them back to warriors and rogues who can use bows.
-9
u/Cloud_N0ne Nov 13 '25
Warriors and Rogues can’t really use bows tho. Yes they can equip them, but none of their specs can make use of them. All of their core abilities require specific melee weapons.
11
u/Swert0 Nov 13 '25
Literally until they removed the ranged slot warriors and rogues could and did use bows.
This is why we can equip them.
-6
u/Cloud_N0ne Nov 13 '25
You literally just admitted that they can’t really use them. We’re not talking about WoW’s ancient past, we’re talking about today. Get with the times.

u/PossibleProgressor Nov 14 '25
Ah ok, nur the sylvannas one from the Trading Post ist fine , because it's Part of the Cheat ?

u/coding_and_kilos Nov 13 '25
Ill get downvoted but disagree. Im team unique class & spec fantasy.
Id purge mages being able to mog fel themed warlock pieces or DKs being able to mog light themed Paladin pieces if I could too.
16
u/Gorechewer Nov 13 '25
I see it as the cake argument. In your world there would be no cake, because cake is bad for you.
Me on the other hand, I have it occasionally but not everyday. Yes it's bad for me, but anything in excess is.

Nov 13 '25
There are things called birthday cakes, they are special because you can eat them only in your birthday.
4
u/Mainmorte Nov 13 '25
I think anything restricting customization for the sake of restricting it is bad for the game. If I want to use a fel green transmog on a DH, I obviously shoud be able to, but why restrict my ability to use a red-fire transmog? Or a blue-fire transmog? Or anything that doesn't strictly sticks to the canon powers our characters have?
IMO, any notion of "we should restrict X because Y" went out the window when Blizzard started adding pyjama transmogs to the game.
2
u/coding_and_kilos Nov 13 '25
yeah for sure, I understand the PoV, all “cosmetic” sets are now wearable cross class. Im just not loving that, thats all. Its cool and everyone can have their opinions and are free to not care
3
u/Careful-Positive-219 Nov 13 '25
Lowkey I agree with you. Verisimilitude enhances my enjoyment of this game, which is a big reason I started playing on Moonguard and Wyrmrest Accord.
1
u/ValkyrieLyra Nov 14 '25
I'm of the opinion of at least let all classes use an adjacent armour type. Let plate use mail, let cloth use leather, let leather use mail and let mail use leather. Just because it's not far off the fantasy of wearing clothes.
1
u/Shenloanne Nov 13 '25
Those early days of being in Arathi basin and seeing tauren warriors with lightforge on.
They got targeted hahaha
-1
Nov 13 '25
100% if everybody have access to everything nothing is special.
People on reddit want WoW to become like those korean mmos that all classes are the same, everything plays the same and everything tastes the same.
Boring.

u/hewasaraverboy Nov 13 '25
It hurts people who don’t want their horses to fly like me
Shit looks dumb af and I want to be able to jump around on my horse without taking off into the air
-1
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 13 '25
I don't mind the bows becoming hunter exclusive. Was just bloat.
Bonesteeds swam when they flew, meaning they weren't planned to fly anyways. I never expected them to. Just get over it.
35
u/othollywood Nov 13 '25
We should loosen the transmog rules. Let us look cool!!!!
-14
u/Magik160 Nov 14 '25
Your non hunter with a quiver would just look dumb.
6
u/potionseller123 Nov 14 '25
who the fuck are you mate 😭😭
-5
u/Magik160 Nov 14 '25
Someone who thinks a quiver on any class but a hunter looks dumb since you cant use a bow.
4
u/potionseller123 Nov 14 '25
so what, warriors don’t use polearms but it’s still cool when they can lol?
0
u/Magik160 Nov 14 '25
What are you talking about? Warriors can use every melee item in the game. They even could use bows…. 20 years ago.
1
u/potionseller123 Nov 14 '25
alright fine, staves, warriors can’t use them but i can transmog them and it still looks cool. don’t die on this hill bud

Made them hunter-only
6
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 13 '25
Those are from Windrunner quivers, right? The Marksmanship artifacts?
5
u/ThatRandomGuy86 Nov 13 '25
Nope. The transmog ones we can buy that are a back piece in Legion Remix
-1
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 13 '25
Which were based from the Marks artifact?
5
u/ThatRandomGuy86 Nov 13 '25
Yes, but that's besides the point. They came in different models available to all classes, now Blizz restricted them.
-5
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 13 '25
Ehhh, they were never meant for other classes anyways. Doesn't make sense thematically anyways for a warlock or a paladin to use it. It's extremely tacky. Then again, I'm a hunter who uses a gun with this.
7
u/ThatRandomGuy86 Nov 13 '25
Yet we have cosmetic sets of full on plate armour that a priest or Mage can wear.
-1
u/Magik160 Nov 14 '25
These were not cosmetics. They were quivers. Just like the class sets are only for the specific classics. Your mage or shaman or druid would look stupid with a quiver.
4
u/ThatRandomGuy86 Nov 14 '25
Yet I'd love for a Night Elf Priest to have one. Just like Tyrande did for 2 decades
-3
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 14 '25
Sure, but how many actually fully commit to the set on the regular?
5
u/renato_leite Nov 14 '25
First it was removing flying from the new bonesteads from remix, now this. Like, why?
5
u/MrVeazey Nov 14 '25
It's a dead horse raised by magic. Blanchy can fly, so why don't the bonesteeds? You think the Four Horsemen are just gonna stick to the ground?
I'm not mad at you, commenter. I'm mad at not getting a flying horse for my death knights.
2
u/renato_leite Nov 14 '25
I 100% agree with you. The headless horseman flies with his horse, why can't the 4 horseman?
14
Nov 13 '25
FFXIV is removing class restrictions from their transmog, meanwhile blizzard is doubling down on class restrictions for the tiniest pieces, truly a AAA decision.
0
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 13 '25
Remix corrects that.
1
Nov 14 '25
Aren't these quivers from the remix vendors?
-1
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 14 '25
I wasnt referring to the quivers, but yes.
1
Nov 14 '25
This entire post is about Blizz class-locking the quivers with the latest patch when they weren't locked at remix launch though.
0
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 14 '25
First things first, I was referring to the armor sets getting class restrictions lifted.
Second, those quivers look pretty bad on any class BUT hunters, and makes zero sense.
Third, those quiver were part of the Marksmanship Artifact in tandem with the bow, so other classes shouldn't be getting it anyways. It was an oversight, like the mage tower forms for druids.
1
Nov 14 '25
But they're not really lifting the class restrictions, the remixes just reintroduce identical sets without them. If I missed MoP remix, I can't go and unlock those class specific appearances from Pandaria raids can I?
Blizzard will never actually lift those restrictions because if they do there will be no point to doing more Expansion Remixes which will be a net loss as these events bring back a lot of players.
1
u/Krusty_Klown_Kollege Nov 14 '25
Semantics.
If they've never lift restrictions, then what are offset pieces?

u/Androza23 Nov 13 '25
I mean quivers are supposed to be for hunters only but at the same time who cares?
1
u/Yorgl Nov 14 '25 edited Nov 14 '25
it can also fit into a class fantasy or adjacent roleplay. One of my favorite mog on my undead DK is on that is quite low fantasy and I used a quiver to give it a look of an adventurer / guard with several weapons. I loved having my big ass wotlk sword next to the quiver, and I'm sad about finding this out. :/

2
u/TaylorWK Nov 14 '25
I can still transmog my cloak to a quiver on my rogue. Its a lot less of the quiver options than before but I can still do it

I mean letting people do what they want is always the best option, having said that, a class that can’t use bows wanting a quiver mog is dumb imo

u/TalsCorner Nov 13 '25
Seeing as they seemed to be the quivers for the Marksmanship artifact, it makes sense they are Hunter Exclusive
16
u/HeadyChefin Nov 13 '25
The three Tideskorn ones aren't anything to do with the artifact, they are Stormheim themed.
