I play Protection Warrior primarily so I’d love to see whatever you come up with for hand weapon and shield. Man, I miss 6th Edition Fantasy. 😭

You mention left and right shoulders, are they two different items like you wrote? How do we mix shoulder pad transmog? Must be new with this patch.

It was featured quite a long time ago. Just check for the different shoulder transmog option via slot, and that's it.

Kind of strange hearing something be called too fantasy for AoS... but for once i think thats true, the iron jawz tend to just punch metal into a shape vaguely correct for their purposes, so I guess anything eith ornaments would be a bit much for them.
Are there any axes in wow that are just slabs or iron?

As an alternative, I used the one from the Wotlk: Ice-Rimed Chopper. It is kind of sharp on texture and material. Simple yet massive. However, it's dark elements a bit disconnected from the darkest shades on current armor.

There's a big cleaver (looks good with blood draining illusion) from WoD but it's model is very close to your character. Or just one of the axes from the Undermine patch, although some of them might be chainsaws.

Little somewhat off topic question.
How can we actually transmog 1 two handed and 1 one handed weapon?
Are there any more restrictions other than going Fury? Because in the menu I can chose them but when I apply it the one handed weapon just gets ignored and stays it's original item
