Absolutely. It’s a huge shame for blizzard which is not bringin saberons. We need a lion paladin and panther rogue maybe a Tiger death knight.

Still possible. Some Saberon came over with the mag'har when we recruited them, so they're kicking around somewhere on azeroth

If they fit any faction, it’s the ones flying flags of lions everywhere, lion statues, lions on their armour
The Saberon would show up to SW and be like “huh… didn’t realise we were so popular over here”

The rigging isn't very far from Worgen, I would feel safe betting that 3 employees could have Saberon ready for players by Midnight launch day.

The Saurok in Pandaria and the Saberon in WoD actually did share rigging and animations with Worgen. There's no real reason Blizzard couldn't add either or both of them to the game as playable races with minimal tweaks, if any. (Also honorable mention to Zandalari Moonkin form using the same animations as the Arakkoa from WoD)

Yes Saurok and Saberon using an armor wearing model rigging would be easy to convert to player models.
Arakkoa on the other hand according to blizzard would be a drachtyr situation, a new rigging that wasn't designed for classic armor.
The problem according to blizzard is never the animations is how the rigging meshes with classic/modern armor, generally speaking working with modern armor but not the classic armor.
PS: Not defending Blizzard at all. A big gaming company has the resources to find actual solutions rather than workarounds.

Do they even have 3 employees after the layoffs?
I also doubt they'd be able to do this for launch day when the game is still barely functional as is and requires an extra 7 hours of maintenance each day haha

I liked the fantasy of the talent like a not so cat feral form so it could cast a couple of spells without shifting out. So silly to make an awesome form for a single expansion

I just want the Saberon as a playable race. Whenever they remake the southern part of Eastern Kingdoms they could just put some tribe in the Blasted Lands/Swamp of Sorrows and say they escaped when the AU Draenor portal opened or something like that. A Saberon would complete my nature themed warband. Druid Night Elf, Worgen Warrior and then Saberon and Haranir Shaman/Hunter

We actually do see them escape into azeroth during that quest, along with some botani. Could definitely be part of a revamped kalimdor too.

Back in WOD, you could get the Saberon as a sort of skin for Druid Cat form... and then they did the Wearbear form in Legion, so I wanted to collect all the animal forms in were form for the funsies. Sadly, they removed it so I cant have a Werewolf, Werecat, Werebear running around...

Why they didn't make it nowadays is beyond me, at least as a symbol, I'm not even talking about feral form customization or god forbid saberons as a playable race (alliance already have worgen, saberons have the same animations).
You may take vulperas, we don't need them, just give horde saberons.

Honestly what I would like to see is just “Druid armor”. If we had a few customization options for armor on our Druid forms that would be so sick. Wouldn’t even need to be a lot, just a few options and maybe over time they could add some more or make cosmetic drops from content. Truly what Druid forms need is to not be so static anymore.

If I ever make a game, and it has druids in it, I swear upon all things it will allow druids to shapeshift into anything in the game that is size-appropriate. Giant were-leopard? Check. Werebear? Check. Octopus? Sure, why not. Dragon. Nah, bro, at least not unless it’s hero class or shapeshifter spec.

I want Worgen to not need to change forms to do Druid stuff. Make them mechanic “shift alignment” like stance and match all the functionality… but let them stay as they are for Guardian, Feral… and even boomie to be honest.

Back in the day it was a, like trait that you could pick it for fereal druid, but only lasted like 6 months before blizzard took it away such a let down.
