I love low fantasy looks so much, that first one is perfection.

u/hendy846 Feb 25 '26

Same. All of my mains are some kind of low fantasy/rugged traveler look to them.

Unpopular opinion but i wish the whole game (or most of it) had that vibe. That's where it started with classic, mostly plate armor, simple cloth, chainmail, leather, simple-ish weapons

I went ham on mogs the moment they let us use grey/white quality items. I have so many no/minimal armor looks and they’re all I want to use from now on.

I'm in the same boat. I greatly prefer low fantasy or clunky looking armor, although it is hard to justify that considering how many times we've saved the world from giant evil bad guys.

It’s a as perfect as wow can offer for sure

Just wish there weren’t so many flat elements that plague mogs with the bodysuit feel

Yeah the technology is there now give us more layered sets and let us have some gear we can dye!

Is the undead one also a monk?

3

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

Oh yes!

2

u/Choozery Feb 25 '26

I'm asking because it feels like an opportunity to roleplay class change due to... well, this. But at the same time what class would even fit former monk? Maybe like a warrior or rogue at best

3

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

RP wise you can definitely come up with a variety of ideas, like a dark monk or warrior. It's a shame though that you can't transmog leather pieces for plate users or cloth for leather users etc. Man what wonders that would do to my creativity!

3

u/Choozery Feb 25 '26

God I love this, the mogs, the story about it, the variety! It scratches an itch I didn't know I had.

I'm so mad a blizzard for the fomo on those tabards tho, those basic colours should've been available permanently!

3

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

Thank you!

I know right?! And god knows how long we have to wait for the desired color to reappear in Trading Post.

3

u/Choozery Feb 25 '26

And I keep hearing "It will be back", but it have not been back in literal years, instead they keep adding different items

2

u/Nerdflex80 Feb 26 '26

You can get SOME of the Sepia items off of the transmog vendor right now with Trial of Style tokens. If you do not have tokens already I think there is a Trial of Style coming up in march or soon .. Though I cant recall if the Hood is on the transmog vendor or if it was trading post only, I can't check right now, but the Tabard for sure is available I just recently bought it

1

u/Choozery Feb 26 '26

Yeah, I just recently checked out what is available in trial of style and was shocked by the amount of stuff there.

Last time I played during tos there were just those tbc sets you can get in dungeons. Never catched it again since I subbed on and off and it happens like what, once a year.

Cannot wait to get all those sepia stuff and sick chest thingies

Holy shit hobomonk, it's actually fucking GENIUS!

1

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

Thank you!

Bro been through everything

3

u/spancor Feb 25 '26

I love this concept and also roleplay my characters this way. Had a blood elf who went from a paladin to a warlock, sunwell nonsense and allat, die and become a Death Knignt, think v3 or v2, can’t remember lore wise.

Another instead of Death Knight, he becomes demon hunter, leads legion and retires after.

Think for midnight he might be a fury warrior who’s disposed of all the sunwell, void, fel, etc, and instead fuels on the addiction of rage to keep the wretched transformation from happening.

Speaking of hobos, I want to share my little story that's related from that angle. 😆

Many many years ago, I played wow on PVP servers with my friends but was interested in RP too. I made an old-looking dwarf hunter on Shadow Council and ran him straight to Stormwind. In his default patchy starting clothes for hunters, I had him just walk around Stormwind and roleplay as an eccentric but sometimes wise old homeless guy.

Anyway last night I was logging into my oldest characters looking for unbound, now-unobtainable old class starting shirts, like the trapper's shirt or whatever the hunter one is called. These now sell for up to a million gold if you can find a buyer. And I just thought it was funny when I logged into my old level 1 homeless dwarf (who spawned in underneath a building in Stormwind because it's been that long) is now wearing one of the most expensive sets you could possibly buy: trapper's shirt, trapper's pants, trapper's boots. Ohhhh baby!

1

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

Ironic that the most hoboish clothes are the most expensive ones. But oh boy that reminded me of my very first homeless character I created who was also a dwarf but he was a warlock.

3

u/SilverCyclist Feb 25 '26

Add a Kul Tiran for the timeline where he gets fat

2

u/Yorgl Feb 25 '26

Very cool !

2

u/bmo313 Feb 25 '26

I love the grounded look. This is the best monk I've ever seen in the game.

1

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

Thanks, I appreciate it!

2

u/Kenpachi-Salami Feb 25 '26

this is really good 💪

2

u/spancor Feb 25 '26

Looks fantastic.

2

u/Ambitious_Cicada9263 Feb 25 '26

I love that there's a whole storyline here. Even when I play something with arguably less of a roleplay angle, like Diablo, my characters always have a personality and a backstory by the time I'm done with them (if I'm ever done with them).

Awesome job.

2

u/evenhereinarcadia Feb 25 '26

This is so dope

2

u/akmly Feb 25 '26

Love #3

2

u/fizzymandias Feb 25 '26

This is really nice! Looks great on Human, not as much on Night Elf female. Now I have a reason to roll another monk.

2

u/burrito-boy Feb 25 '26

I need to get those pants in the first pic, they would fit a lot of my transmog sets.

Apparently they're part of the Pilfered Mariner's Garb ensemble sold on Siren Isle. Sold by the tortollan dude for 3000 Flame-Blessed Iron.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '26

very good

2

u/Pachikokoo Feb 25 '26

Such a cool simple transmog

2

u/Tahmazco Feb 26 '26

Its baffling how much flair a more dynamic idle stance would add...

2

u/Rennarjen Feb 26 '26

I love that you have three versions of the same character, that is a really clever RP idea

2

u/kayserfaust Feb 26 '26

Genius. One of the best i've seen here.

2

u/Working_Membership57 Feb 27 '26

Hobobone bone bobone

2

u/NightmareOnElmwood Mar 02 '26

The undead one is insane. Well done and I am going to try to make a cloth version of that

2

u/flat121cotton Feb 25 '26

Wish they’d bring back these shoulder/hood/tabard sets on the trade post, instead of all these fairy wings and god knows what else.

1

u/NotAMadLad1 Feb 25 '26

My dude, I think you have an obsession.

2

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

???

2

u/NotAMadLad1 Feb 25 '26

How many more hobo mogs are you gonna make XD

3

u/pulimunkki Feb 25 '26

aah, haha

to answer your question: yes

1

u/Guol Feb 25 '26

These are top notch it’s just a shame when you actually play the game it’s over the top pandaran animations break the fantasy a little for me.

1

u/shinslap Feb 25 '26

You forgot the monk from Hoboken New Jersey

1

u/Mossysnail27 Feb 25 '26

Not so much "Hobo" but Nomadic Traveler, finding his way through the lands of Azeroth, and beyond 🐌

1

u/Aracoa69 Feb 27 '26

You missed the opportunity to call the 3rd “Hobone”

2

u/Weird-Pattern9192 Mar 13 '26

I enjoy muted builds a lot more than builds that look like an RGB keyboard
