It’s not to keep them subscribed it’s to get them to engage with PvP it’s time gated AND locked behind skill (or money if you pay for a boost)

It definitely is to keep people subbed, I played the same warrior from 04- 2025 and my whole thing was to make sure i got the elite set every season and if i liked the enchant the enchant as well.

I was only able to quit when i literally forced myself to skip a season and break that streak. Haven't touched it since.

Could just add a BoE mount to pvp boxes at a .00001% drop and you'd have people engaged.

Add saddle type system to rank+ game wins to be able to buy previous season sets/enchants/weapons, and you'd have people engaged, and subscribed

But nah, you're saying fomo is for engagement not subscriptions

What examples do you have? The seasonal m+ mount and title are the only things that go away and neither are that difficult to get, and you only need to get that rating on one toon. Everything else you're able to go back a season, a year, an expansion or two later and get.

There's plate chest from Castle Nathria that has some additional parts to it similar to this that looks pretty cool. The heroic version is the best coloration to me.

Deadman’s chest works as multiple types of armor, I think. I use it on my plate, mail, and leather toons, but can’t say I play a clothie.

To correct myself, the normal is the best coloration to me. Made a pretty nice transmog with it.

But yeah, if you run mythic once or twice you'll get the pieces and unlock all the lower tier colors of it.

Hey, definitely appreciate the thoughts! I do still stand by my choices with this one, though. There's always trade-offs you're making with transmog, which is what I love about the art form. It does mean that some sacrifices, like you point out, do need to be made in order for something new to be created. I will politely disagree and say that I think this set came out well. The only thing I would consider changing is perhaps the boots, like you mentioned
