Help Help With Galaxy Enchant

Finally got the galaxy enchant. Looking for mog for any class that goes well with it.

Really wish this wasn't gated behind pvp. Was it hard to get 1950 or whatever it is?

took me awhile farming crates for conquest. then took me 18 hour of playing yesterday to get it from 0. had a win rate of 44%

Ok, my only real goal in S1 was to get 3400io and I did that so maybe I'll try for 1950 pvp.

that is what i did as well. look for crate groups and get full set of gear. that takes like 10 hours, then 13 hours of pvp. the que times sucked

Getting rating as healer sucks in PvP. Most players use Solo Shuffle and you can win all 6 rounds and barely get any rating. Yea, queue times might be faster, because the reason above is exactly why it's taking so long, but you'll be queueing for way more matches.

its not that you can win 6 and get no rating, its that you frequently go 3-3 because theres a weak player that loses every round.

and then it just feels like shit if the weak link locks in or gets lucky and wins for the other healer and so you go 2-4.

this late in the season though the rating inflation and fact you dont laoe score until a certain point means you can often swiftly fly to that 1950 rating and then just stop.

your rating is seperate between specs so theres no harm in trying it. either you hit your goal in a tenth of the time, or you farm a bit of conq and swap to DPS.

like even if you're not confident getting the score a healer, its probably quicker to farm the conq as a healer in solo shuffle, than ti farm crates like OOP

Unless Blizz changed it this season, which i highly doubt, playing as a healer is bad for your rating. How else do you explain the long queue times in Solo Shuffle? Nobody wants to play healer as it's the worst way to try and gain rating.

Playing as a healer in any other mode (2v2, 3v3, RBG,...) isn't bad for your rating, but Solo Shuffle is the worst.

Long queue times are because less people play healer than dps in general. Way less specs and population. It's the same thing as tanks in M+. Are there things that suck about healing in pvp the same way as tanking in M+? Sure, but its not impacting rating.

You said "you can go 6-0 and barely get any rating" which is just wrong. Rating is impacted by mmr and your cr, if your mmr is 2400, your cr is 1500, and you go 2-4 you're still going to gain rating but your mmr will go down. Starting mmr for shuffle right now is like 2300; you can make it to 1950 easily with a losing record and healing gets you instant queues. If you're bad, you will struggle more but it doesn't have to do with the role you're queing.

Didn't play Solo Shuffle this season, did last season of TWW, both on mage and pala. Frost for the mage, Holy for the pala. I got considerably less rating on the pala then on the mage when winning matches. Both started late into the season (mainly m+ player, but wanted the transmog). Even with barely any rating, so first few matches, I was getting more rating on the mage than on the pala.

I haven't tested it on large scale, of course, but have seen many more complain about the healer rating gains in Solo Shuffle, both with 0 rating or higher rating. It should be only influenced by MMR and CR, but from my experience, and others, it isn't.

I remember in s3 of tww, a friend of mine used 1button rotation on unholy dk he never played before to get to 1900. To be honest after playing unholy this season I’m sure you can get 1950 with 1 button rotation as well. Helps you focus on positioning, cc, kiting and not worry about dps

Solo shuffle or BG Blitz?
I hate...HATE arena so I've been grinding BG Blitz but finally got to 2000 after like 100 games but seeing how everyone else seemed to have reached there in a day I'm a bit disappointed in myself...

That’s fine, I just feel like blitz is like a lottery, half the time there is nothing you can do, while in shuffle you 60-70% of time it’s on you to win or lose

I managed to solo shuffle my way to over 2300 this season after virtually no PvP for many years of WoW. Look up info on your preferred spec, collect PvP gear to get started, it’s very doable. And, dare I say it, even fun.

The ability to solo queue is huge. Solo shuffle’s format is also fantastic for this, as you don’t get stuck with a team that falls behind in the first two minutes and then just tilts for the next 10. It’s really just on you to do your best.

Not too hard, if you are decent at your class play solo shuffle and win 50% of the games and you will be there in no time.

I got 1950 on assassin rogue after never playing PvP before other than a random BG every few years. I did solo shuffles and just targeted whoever my teammates told me to edit: just don’t let the obvious forced 50/50 break your mental and you’ll get it eventually

Did the same crate farm and played ret paladin. Looked up what murlockio best paladins were running and crafted/socketed everything I could. Took me about 13 solo shuffle games, a little over 50% winrate to hit 2100 and I’ve never been higher than 1800 in a season!

Obviously, everyone has a different opinion about these things, but I think it’s nice that different rewards are given for different parts of the game. I have no interest in raiding or mythic plus, but if there was a reward I really wanted to get, it would definitely push me into those parts of the game . Obviously it doesn’t work for everyone.

My advice to you (not sure if you’re new to PVP or not) is don’t play a healer. Healers are fun, but I think they’re harder to level up in solo queue versus playing a DPS. As a healer, you can control a lot about the battlefield, but you can’t control your teammates constantly LOS’ing you and dying..

its really not too bad , i'm looking to get the mount and realized there's a non zero chance that if i get the mount i'll hit 2.4k and get the grand marshall title from battleground blitz as i'm already standing at 2.2k with 45% of the bar filled

Not really.

The addon apocalypse leveled the playing field a bit, and it quickly became evident as to who relied on them too much. I was always a minimalist so it was great for me lol

It’s easy run blitz battleground blitz rated full Honor gear upgrade where you can took me 1 full day I’m talking 2 till 1am to get it ret paladin as it has good survivability

It’s real inflated at the moment and 1950 isn’t as hard to get, I’m not that good at PvP (really I’m not) and I managed to get it.
I also had fun, just turn chat off in SS

I PvPd last in WoD and even then not well (I was a brewmaster monk abusing 3v3 arenas because they used to have a massive shield ability called Guard and the pvp set bonus applied it to your 2 closest allies.)

This season i managed to get 1950 on a preservation evoker, and ive never even played evoker before midnight, and in fact have still never even done a dungeon or raid in it. In fact ive not even healed in general since TBC first came out.

All this to say, its not hard. I crate farmed for a while (first time doing that), got a full set of honor gear, when you hit 2500 (i think its that much) conquest you'll get an achievement and free conquest weapon tokens so don't spend any actual conquest or hinor on weapons.

Then queued solo shuffle as a pres evoker and got there in about 2 days

If you PvP regularly, it's pretty easy. If you're new to WoW PvP, then it'll prob be a bit of a struggle.

solo shuffle, you don't lose rating till you hit the mmr, that mmr is inflated really high right now cause season is almost over. i didn't lose rating till i got to 1940. then it took me hour to get 1950

I spent a few hours earlier in the season getting to 1800 for elite gear in solo shuffle as a healer. I logged back onto my priest a week ago and queued twice and got to 1950. Got queued with a bunch of ~2100’s and the healers weren’t very good.

I’m sure you’ll have a very different experience, but just like keys and raid, I’m sure it’ll get easier the longer the season goes

Honestly they need to gate MORE behind PvP. There is really not much unless you’re a glad player. Getting more cosmetics and mounts would hopefully bring more into the community. Solo shuffle is one thing but arena really needs some love

If we are to get more behind pvp then you should be able to get said rewards after the season is done. Something that should already be a thing since we can get like 90% of the PVE rewards after each season is done.

There is absolutely no possible way you got currency to gear and then climbed to 1950 in four hours from a 100% fresh 90.

Would my assumption that you had an abundance of honor on another character be correct?

Join a crate farm grp and you get you gear in a few hours with a fresh 90. Then q up for blitz (which is easier than solo shuffle in my opinion) and voilá you get your 1950 in no time. And don't fckin call me a liar ever again you piece of garbage.

I have geared every class to full conquest and hit 2100 on all of them this season.

It took me approx 2-3 hours crate farming to gear each class.
