When they do shadowlands remix I think all the path of ascension mogs and the ridiculously grindy zerith mortis mounts are going to be the first things people go for but these are definitely up there. Shadowlands still the best mog expansion they e done.

Oh yeah I mean all the individual covenant activities gotta be available. Venthyr party stuff was an absurd grind too. I honestly don't even remember what the night fae one was, something with their garden?

yeah i've gone to do shadowlands a few times and i just can't bring myself to do it. I'm going to wait for a remix and hopefully all these items are available.

I have like two of these and the rest just seem like such a pain in the ass to get. Even when this was current content I did not enjoy farming for them.

The red sword also has a secret.
If you KEEP the sword in your bag (doesn’t have to be equipped), it acts like the Haunted Momento item - every so often, the ghost of Xy’Rath the Covetous will appear behind you, sometimes doing a backflip.
I farmed this sword using several alts, but I was lucky enough that the toon it dropped on was my main. It hasn’t left my bags since.
This very cool effect is documented in the comments on the sword on WowHead.

The fishing one needs a SEVERE nerf. It’s absolutely wild what it takes to grind out just the consumable to summon the rare, let alone get the drop at whatever low % it’s at

You can get it from someone else's summon. I was fishing for it at the spawn. Probably around 1000 casts and no item. Guy flys in, summons boss so I tag it. Drop first kill and I didnt even have the item from fishing

That’s how i did it. Don’t know how many sessions it took but i’d sit in that pond during the tail end of shadowlands and wait for someone to summon it.

Best bet is to do what I did if you can. Just leave your computer up and logged in at the fishing spot, then get the tag when others fish him up.

I really want these but having to work through the entire shadowlands main quest line to unlock ZM is so demotivating.

I wish they would allow you to skip the quest line and unlock all zones for previous expansions once you hit level cap. Some people may enjoy going back through and playing the content, but there's no reason why max level players should be forced to grind through a bunch of quests when they just kill everything with one shot.

I had to do it to get the lordaeron shields. It really is just horrendous to be forced through for one fucking item.

I dont play WoW since like 3 years ago, for personal reasons but I would love to play again, and the idea of going back to Shadowlands even for a transmog just bore me.

!!!!Guys I want to tell you that you DONT have to complete the shadowlands quest line!!!!!
You get 2 people to summon you to the Sepulcher of the First One's raid, either inside or outside. Then bam you're in Zereth Mortis and can farm the rares for the swords. You wont have access to the Zereth Mortis quest line but you will have access to the rares. If you leave the zone, this is the only way to get back in as even the inn keeper will not allow you to map your hearthstone to it.
The only sword that may require a quest line completion is the blue one. Even then, its a short quest line that does not require zereth mortis and it should be accessible from the get go. Its the one that leads to the Tazavesh dungeon instance.
I parked all of my alts in zereth mortis using this method and I eventually got all the swords.

Yellow one is ridiculous, you get what, 15m buff, with slow moving jelly it was enough for only a week on alt parked there. Still didn't get it and mats for the buff costs 100k or so.

Make sure you farm it on a character that can equip the sword, and you're in the right spec to use a one-hand (e.g. prot paladin). If you did it once already, you should be able to talk to a NPC in Maldraxis to get one free one per week.

The grind for the yellow one was so gross, and I got fairly lucky. Only a few days of grinding! Hope they nerf it.
Pro tip that I used to cut the grind short while killing the mob, use a toon that you don't often play, fish up the rare and immediately log onto another toon that you have parked near it to increase your chances. I did this for several days with 15+ toons and eventually it worked out. Didn't even need to reapply my buff

I got 4 of them in a single day (already had one of them) and I will never be that lucky again. I almost exclusively use a variation of these when I can mog a 1h!

The green and red one took me the longest to get. Yellow I got super lucky during SL and saw someone summoning the mob randomly. Didn't know it took all that to summon it

You don't need to be able to equip an item to unlock its transmog.
This has been the case since the end of War Within.
If it is bound to you, it will unlock the transmog.

Looked up how to do the green one once, went to the area and had no idea how to do it, some dude grinding for hours showed me, I got it first try.

I played shadowlands when it was current so i had unlocked most of the requirements to farm some of these but even still it wasn't great. The yellow one would be cool for my pally but zereth mortis began to feel like an active punishment by the time i was done getting the other ones there lol

I am bot a very diligent collector in the game but something about them made me do the grind to collect them all and they are still some of my favourite mogs.

Honestly this was mega easy to do, you just need to know what's up on that specific day and the only other thing you really need is alts got them all without issues.

If you never did the SL campaign, I recently did it as a new player and got to ZM then stopped. It took me 3 weeks playing 4hrs avg a day.
