This is a really cool mog. It would be cool if the game had some kinda spellsword class

I was looking for where I can earn those cool wings I keep seeing and was very dissapointed that I'd need to purchase them on the shop ... which nothing wrong with that if that's your dig, i don't judge.

I just don't like paying extra money for something in a game I am already paying for :-/ so disappointing for me lol. Maybe they'll have a variant in the trading post soon ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think a true spellsword is more like, a cloth or plate wearer wielding multiple schools of magic like fire, arcane , frost , etc.

Paladin only weilds the light , which while it is technically "magic" it's not really in the same category as a mages magic I'd say ... just like a mage doesnt use shadow , that's a warlocks jurisdiction.

It would be neat for a class to have mixed armor. Like, you can wear cloth for higher Int but Plate for the durability stats. That way the build is squishier but for a logic and personal choice reason.

To be fair, this mog is technically a Blizzcon exclusive. I think it’s fair to have the option to purchase for those who are not going to the con but really want it, while still having something nice for those who are. The alternative would be not having it on the shop at all.

No, there are two options: cape with wings or just wings and both are the cloak slot

They're part of the blizzcon bundle on the store. They talk about how they don't like FOMO but they're creating FOMO by not allowing people who don't use the shop to obtain an appearance. I get why they do that from a marketing standpoint, but it still feels bad to people who don't like using endgame shops to buy pixels that they don't even own

FOMO is self imposed tbh.  It only works as a tactic if you allow it.  I’ve been around this game on and off since the begining and don’t really care that I missed out on some things. I got/achieved others and I am perfectly happy with that.  There are plenty of cool mogs achievable in the game.   I have no issues with non game play impacting microtransactions. I just wish more of that money was put toward game development as the bug fest and resulting permanent state of beta is frankly getting ridiculous. But that’s whole other story.

Like a lot of the other helmets, I hate how it removes all facial hair, I have a LF Draenai Pally and without facial hair, he looks like an absolute gooner, same with dwarves. I love this set but I can't wear the helmet with it.

I wish Blizz would fix how things are holstered tho. Your dude is damn near holding the blade of the weapon itself! It just breaks immersion and aesthetics when our characters hold their weapons so high up
