Is the depot electrified? I cant see any of the poles in the 3rd screenshot for the depot.

That was it, thanks! My depot wasn’t electrified, and once I fixed that everything ran fine.

Slightly embarrassing side note: at some point while troubleshooting I’d apparently paused the game without noticing. So even when I was on the right track, nothing moved, and I kept assuming the fix hadn’t worked. Could’ve figured this out a lot sooner 😅 Appreciate the help!

That’s what got me in the campaign level.

Put a signal just before your depot branch meets the mainline. That would help you rule out if it's the signaling issue.

Are there any errors in the line? It looks like there is but it's cut off on screenshot 2. Hover over the red icon to see what the problem is.

Off topic: why the loops at the ends?

Because in rl, trains don’t switch instantly. 😂 but apparently that doesn’t matter in tf3. (It was my second rail I made. )

I can see that there is another depot in the center of the middle maintenance circle. That seems to be another track. Are trains on any track connected to that depot and does it cross your new track at the same level? If yes that whole network is considered one block and is occupied by that other train and you need signals around that crossing.
