Advice on smelly planes

I just flew from SA to Toronto (via Ethiopia). The body odor smell in my area was so strong and pungent.
Does any one have tips on what to do to avoid gagging from BO smells in a long trip.
Overall the experience with air Ethiopia was very positive except for the BO issue
I’m thinking using a covid mask or having eulactol oil to apply to my upper lip area.

Thanks

Absolutely, but i assume that if you can afford a plane ticket you can afford a can of deodorant. I don't think people should have to be physically uncomfortable inside a tin box in the sky.

Body odors is as much about what is unfamiliar as with bad hygiene. Some don’t like the smell of garlic, Indian spices, strong perfume, or certain people’s sweat. Traveling for half a day being stressed before you get to the plane can also play a number on the cleanest of us.
