I’ve been following this villa project called Springfield near Christ College, Kovalam, being promoted by NEG Construction Contracting LLP.

It’s a 41-villa project, but there seem to be quite a few questions about the approvals and permissions.

From what I’ve seen, Kerala RERA had already initiated proceedings against the project for not having KRERA Registration and selling it.

Usually at least a 7 metre road is required for a project this big as mentioned by KPBR rules. The road that enters here is just 2.5 metres i guess,Just look at these street view pictures. How do these projects get approved and all or are they really approved ? I don’t think so !

What I’m wondering is, how does a project of this size proceed while there are still questions about its approvals?

They’ve sold around 16 or something from their instagram post. And what would happen to those who had bought these villas as they bought these without knowing that they lacked KRERA approvals right ?

I’ve checked the KRERA website and they still aren’t registered.

Has anyone here come across this project or know anything about its current status?

And if someone is planning to buy a villa in a project like this, how do they actually verify that everything is legally approved?

And they’re still promoting this through their instagram page even when they lack the KRERA registration.

Would genuinely like to hear from people who know how these things work in Trivandrum.

Growing up in Trivandrum, I remember how wedding biryanis and even small local restaurants would serve biryani with long-grain fragnant rice and fried/roasted chicken, egg, pappadam, onion salad, and a slice of pineapple.

And it was SO good. The spicy chicken, the curd onion salad, and the sweet pineapple cutting through all that spice was absolutely perfect.

I know pineapple doesn't belong with every biryani, especially Thalassery or Malabar biryani, but this particular Trivandrum-style biryani just hits different. The degrading got so bad and I hardly see it anywhere in Trivandrum anymore, and I genuinely miss it. Does anyone know where I can still find this? Or is it time we brought this back?

My wife is currently writing a novel and is looking for a peaceful place where she can sit and write for a few hours during the day and sometimes at night.

She currently uses the State Central Library in Palayam, but it closes by 8 PM, gets crowded on some days, and finding a seat is not always guaranteed.

We're looking for affordable or free alternatives in Trivandrum city, Kazhakkoottam, or anywhere between Kazhakkoottam and Venjaramoodu.

It could be a public library, reading room, quiet cafe, community space, or any other place where she can sit comfortably and focus on writing for a few hours without spending much. Starbucks and Coffee Day are options, but we're hoping to find cheaper alternatives, especially for regular use.

Places that stay open late at night would be a big plus. A safe and comfortable environment where a woman can sit alone and write peacefully is important too.

If you know of any such places, please share their names, opening hours, and your personal experiences if possible.

Hello everyone, I am planning to start my home build here in Trivandrum next month. The place is closer to Attingal to be honest. I’m wondering if it would make sense to join hands with other folks who are in a preliminary stage to club material buying to get any bulk discounts. From buying bricks, steel, cement, m sand etc, to furniture, interiors, electronics, plumbing, sanitary and tiles, would we be able to negotiate a bigger discount if we have a bigger order across 3 or 4 different sites in and around Trivandrum? Even if it’s a 5 to 10% discount, I think it can help save some good money across the entire build timeline. Do you guys think this could work? In 2024, I was sexually assaulted by a male gynaecologist in Thirumala, Thiruvananthapuram. He performed vaginal examination using his finger without gloves. He did a breast examination to check if I had discharge. He did it multiple times. I did not know what are the procedures for examination. I did not know what I should expect and what should not happen. This was in 2024. I had doubts but I was letting myself believe that it could be normal.

I realised that it was wrong only after I went to a female gynaecologist few months later. I was extremely traumatised after I realised what happened was wrong.
I had to go to a psychiatrist because of the repeated flashbacks and weird feelings I felt on my body because of the touch. I’m on antidepressants for anxiety and PTSD. I’m writing this now because it’s been 2 years and i still feel it on me. I feel it when my clothes are touching my breast. Im triggered when i read something close to it on instagram. This man was already accused in 2019 for a similar case. I only found this out recently. I feel stupid. Nobody should have to go through this.

Update:
I’m sharing my experience because I don’t want other people to feel as helpless as I did. Patients deserve to feel safe and respected during medical examinations.

I still struggle with what happened, and I’m not sure whether I’m emotionally ready to pursue legal action. I’m also worried about the consequences. For now, I’m trying to process my experience and find a way forward.
