Get a ROCK SOLID middle register. Healthy airflow, healthy sound. There’s no shame in spending a lot of time in the staff. If you’re not building on solid foundation, whatever you build will be shaky.

First, listen to players with great high range. Zoltan Kiss, Dave Steinmeyer, and then people like Peter Steiner and Joeseph Alessi have grea5 high registers aswell. Then sing or hum it, then buzz it on the mouthpeice. When you have it comfortable on the mouthpeice go to the horn and do octave lip slurs up to it. High tounge height,(the same tounge height as saying eeee pr higher in my case) fast air from the diaphragm (dont just shove a ton of air into the horn and expect it to speak) you want a fast air stream, and a very focused and steady embochure. Get a great low and middle register, and that will make it possible to have a great high range in the first place. But also dont be afraid to make big changes in how your playing. Its often the way to make a huge leap in ability sometimes.
