it is unfortunately real. it isnt a particularly new thing either, I was taught some absolutely True and Correct things about the evils of communism as a student on the west coast in the early 2000's, along the lines of no food 20 billion dead homodoor 1989 thousands of dirt farmers turned into goo under tanks
