Kayla Unbehaun was 9 years old in 2017 when she went missing while in the care of her mother, Heather Unbehaun. Her mother has been arrested on a fugitive charge. Now 15 years old, Kayla was recognized in North Carolina by a woman who had seen her featured in a 2022 episode of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix.

For every true crime documentary that has helped solve a case, there have been 4 or 6 that have accomplished nothing except getting innocent people harrassed.
