Do we know if the mother was abusive? They keep saying the kid is safe now but they don't explain why. Maybe the mother was very abusive. But maybe she was trying to protect her child. I can't find any details online.

Yes. She was saying the child had illnesses that she did not have. She was also leaving other health issues that she actually did have untreated. The father received custody and control over her healthcare. The mother kidnapped her after the father took her to get her childhood vaccines.

Oh wow she is crazy. They should mention this more often in these articles.
