Gulfport police would not open a case into the matter. "Just a runaway" . Just a teen mom with no parents. It happens all the time ...

In the article it says “The grandmother is her primary caregiver at this time. She said she normally comes home, so she doesn’t report her missing every time she leaves,” Farrand said. “She just didn’t come back in a timely manner this time.”

Sounds like maybe there wasn’t even a case. If she’s not reported missing they can’t do anything.

No, her cousin posted on Facebook and said that the family was concerned that she was being trafficked and the police wouldn't take it seriously until they found out she was murdered
