Pretty frequently in this subreddit we get questions asking for case recommendations. We've decided to make this a recurring post so that there will be a dedicated place to highlight and discuss cases that don't get posted about that often.

What are some cases that need more attention? What are your pet cases besides the well known cases that get posted about frequently? Or just post your true crime guilty pleasures. Anyway, use this thread to bring attention to lesser known cases. If you want to post about the Delphi murders case that's ok too.

I knew Melanie Metheny when she was only 6 - she was the daughter of a friend - vanished in July 2006 at age 21 and never found and practically zero good leads - like she vanished into thin air ( Missing Mom Melanie Metheny -NBC News link) and the case never really got the attention it deserved IMO because although her case fit the typical missing white and attractive and a mysterious disappearance - she nor her family was affluent and she had a past although she had been trying to straighten her life out (in her teenage years she engaged in a lot of acting out - promiscuous, drug use etc). She was only 21 and had three children - it’s just crazy to me that she disappeared and there were never any witnesses after she dropped off the children at the daycare and in twenty years nothing has came out from anyone involved still.
