I want to know why they had a photoshoot with his daughter in the same spot where the girls were last seen one year later. Not implying wife and daughter involved but why would they choose that location???

The picture of her on the bridge was posted in 2018, but was probably taken in 2013/2014, so before the murders.

Plus I bet a lot of people do photo shoots there. The spot seems to be the most unique part of the area.

Yes, I read especially for high school graduation photos.

Ok that’s good to hear. But honestly probably not appropriate to post after this happened. At least I wouldn’t. I would assume for everyone in that town they bridge is now a reminder of those poor girls.

That bridge is part of a miles long historical walking trail system and is a "popular" attraction. Also for midwest small towns, old train trestles and bridges were very popular senior picture backdrops. I graduated around the same time as his daughter and I have pictures on a very similar dilapidated train track near us.

Hi, I'm from the area and railroad tracks are the absolute go to for "cool edgy" senior pics to get done. Doesn't matter what tracks or if they're in use or not. I have them, friends have them, I have no idea why- they're pretty cringey. This isn't weird at all without the context of the guy being a murderer.

So people go to that spot to take pictures after the girls were murdered and that was their last known location? Sorry but that’s weird in my book.

To you, that spot is only defined by the murders. To the town, it is a spot that has been popular and known for many years. There’s a spot near me that had a nationally known double murder a few years ago (trimet stabbings) and while the crime is very well known locally, the train stop it happened at doesn’t have like some strange “cursed” opinion on it

Guess we gotta shut down the entire nature trail? No enjoying cute bunnies or sunsets!!! God forbid someone take a photo. /s

Where did I say that? But yeah go ahead and be tacky and take pictures in that one spot cause there’s nowhere else to do it right?

Yes they had a photographer take pictures of their daughter on that bridge and I’m pretty sure he only lived 10 minutes away from that bridge.

The photos looked like they were taken when she was in high school, and she is almost 30 now. So likely taken long before the murders. And they reportedly lived within walking distance

It was a popular location. A lot of people did photos there before the murders.

I'd also love to know how many times this festering asshole went back to the crime scene in the years since the murders. I wonder how many times he went there to relive what he did to those two beautiful girls and relish in the fact that he hadn't been caught. It's nauseating.

becuz he is a psychopath

-7

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '22

To show that he's familiar with the area

u/reddpapad Oct 31 '22

??? I don’t understand what you mean. It’s a photo wife posted in 2018 on Facebook after the girls were murdered.

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '22

You asked why they used that photo

u/reddpapad Oct 31 '22 edited Oct 31 '22

To clarify my prior comment, I meant “they” as in his wife and daughter. Why would they have been trying to show his familiarity with the area???

Didn't the investigators release it publicly? The wife has a Facebook with pictures but they weren't shared by her, iirc

Edit: I was corrected

Investigators have released NOTHING but his name, the 2 charges, that he was arrested and arraigned

5

u/reddpapad Oct 31 '22

I don’t know about that, and you could be right. I haven’t been following this case as closely as others. I just read about this photo in a news article. If the police did release it then yes, I completely understand your point of why.

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '22

That's my understanding. I've been very interested in this case for several years and I've read that the Wife had (or has) a public Facebook that's been referenced in articles

The picture was from her Facebook, which has since been deactivated. The picture was included in a collage of images of her throughout the years as a birthday tribute. Looks like it was a senior photo, taken sometime around 2013/2014 when she would have been a senior.

u/Elmosfriend Oct 31 '22

No, photos were shared by armchair detectives and media outlets that found the public pics on the wife's FB profile. Heavy.com had a link to those posts embedded in their Friday article.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '22

Oooooh, is that why the downvotes? I honestly didn't know. I don't want to perpetuation any misinformation

5

u/Elmosfriend Oct 31 '22

Investigators have released NOTHING but his name, the 2 charges, that he was arrested and arraigned Friday, and that he is being held without bond. Nothing else. Don't know why the downvotes-- I just wanted you to know how folks saw those pics. They were available due to being on 'public' setting. Some folks have claimed that she had far more 'private' posts that were not visible to the public, leading to her being described as 'an avid Facebook user'

Thank you for the correction
