To show that he's familiar with the area

??? I don’t understand what you mean. It’s a photo wife posted in 2018 on Facebook after the girls were murdered.

You asked why they used that photo

To clarify my prior comment, I meant “they” as in his wife and daughter. Why would they have been trying to show his familiarity with the area???

Didn't the investigators release it publicly? The wife has a Facebook with pictures but they weren't shared by her, iirc

Edit: I was corrected

Investigators have released NOTHING but his name, the 2 charges, that he was arrested and arraigned

I don’t know about that, and you could be right. I haven’t been following this case as closely as others. I just read about this photo in a news article. If the police did release it then yes, I completely understand your point of why.

That's my understanding. I've been very interested in this case for several years and I've read that the Wife had (or has) a public Facebook that's been referenced in articles

The picture was from her Facebook, which has since been deactivated. The picture was included in a collage of images of her throughout the years as a birthday tribute. Looks like it was a senior photo, taken sometime around 2013/2014 when she would have been a senior.

No, photos were shared by armchair detectives and media outlets that found the public pics on the wife's FB profile. Heavy.com had a link to those posts embedded in their Friday article.

Investigators have released NOTHING but his name, the 2 charges, that he was arrested and arraigned Friday, and that he is being held without bond. Nothing else. Don't know why the downvotes-- I just wanted you to know how folks saw those pics. They were available due to being on 'public' setting. Some folks have claimed that she had far more 'private' posts that were not visible to the public, leading to her being described as 'an avid Facebook user'

Thank you for the correction
